The battle lines were drawn. Friedrich Stahlmann was at the helm of his flagship, prepared for battle. The fleet he had assembled was a powerful one, and he could only hope that it would be enough to defeat the enemy.

“Admiral, we’re detecting movement on the edge of scanner range.”
“Prepare for battle!” he ordered.

They were all here for a reason. The entirety of Quicksilver fleet lurched out of hyperspace with a vengeance. Their hundreds of turbolasers thirsted for the taste of durasteel, their marines beckoned to be sent to board, and their pilots dreamt of glory and dogfights. Even though this attack had been sudden, their opponents would be given the chance to mobilize and start their formations. It was simply a commander's honor. Benevolence above all, as Lok always said. His little battlefleet closed in slowly towards their target, keeping their distance so that neither side was in range yet.

"Disperse. Surround the smaller ships with the larger ones." The Jedi Guardian commanded, staring at the blips that began to shift across his tactical scree. Oh, he had a plan alright.

"Republic fleet inbound, sir!" the communications officer called.
Stahlmann looked over the long range dispositions of the enemy. They had two huge ships, six smaller heavy cruisers and a single corvette. He recognised the profile of the Salvations from his time in the Republic Navy. Outdated now and no longer produced, they were poorly gunned, but had huge fighter bays. That hinted at their strategy. The heavy cruisers were newer, with two of them showing unusual energy signatures, but he did not know what their status was.
"Deploy the fleet, double line forward, watch the flanks, prepare for incoming fighters."

General Jorunn watched as the hostile fleet shifted their positions like a swarm of insects preparing for their coming extermination. Lok wasn't cocky, but he was fairly confident that fleet engagements weren't too different from ground operations. You could maneuver in many more interesting ways and open even more tactical approaches, vantage points, and other warfare strategies that he so adored.

"Front line, focus fire upon vessel ID'ed as Righteous. Focus fire, hit their bridge and shield generators." He ordered, practically flinging his arm at the deck officers.

"Aye, sir."

And with that, every single battery of the Solar Spire, Voltage, and Static Shock opened up upon the Righteous. The only thing righteous about this was the volley of fire heading straight for that doomed vessel. These new Watts-class Cruisers had enough heavy weaponry on them to bring down an entire Star Destroyer. Lok was much less informed about these hostile vessels, so he had no idea what to expect.

At least he had escape pods installed.

The battle had begun, and Stahlmann watched as the enemy opened up on the Righteous. But...something was wrong.
Those two ships with the unusual energy signatures....
Alarms blared. "Admiral, those ships are packing a massive amount of firepower!" a deck officer called redundantly.
"I can see that, return fire! Move forward to support the Righteous! Deploy all attack craft and hold them in reserve! Concentrate fire on those strange ships. Focus on the...Voltage."
The enemy had caused a fair surprise. Now it was time to hit back.
