Directorate Officer
Opponents:
Cyrus Tregessar
vs
Aedan Miles
Fleet size: 7 km
Map: here
Scenario: Asteroid Gauntlet
Scenario Description: Both fleets have been located deep within the Hoth Asteroid belt, where gigantic tumbling rocks often conceal nests of Mynocks or massive Exogorths. Clouds of Nagnol gases and interstellar dust shield areas of space from sensors except when ships immediately enter the clouds themselves - there may be nothing but open space there or more asteroids concealing dangerous fauna. This unforgiving environment can amplify the difficulty of combat in many ways. A fleet could try to snake through the open paths of the field to try and take advantage of these environmental pecularities. Or it may simply try and blast its own path through the belt to their opponents. Either way, there is simply much that could go horribly wrong.
OOC Note: This is pretty straightforward in terms of actual combat. Aside from the asteroid belt, there are a couple clouds of nagnol gases which may be open spots or asteroid fields. Areas with a “?” may have fauna. We're going to do this on an honor system, but when one of you encounters these areas, choose a random way to decide what's there (ex. flip a coin – heads there's a creature of some sort, tails it's an old, abandoned nest. Roll a dice, odds are nothing is in the gas cloud but open space; evens and there's more asteroids and/or dangerous fauna, etc). This is a non-canon thread and does not influence any other events in the Chaos universe/history.
