Flight of the Navigator

The jungles of Ithor had been something Madeline had found herself enchanted in the first time she had arrived, and that had stood true even now. It had been months since her first trip there, and while timid at re-approaching the woman she was there for it had been eating away at her mind ever since she had left.

She had sent out a message to Zylah prior to her departure so as to not show up on the woman's doorstep unannounced. It was short and simple and ultimately rather bland. A request to be able visit, with the intentions of speaking on a certain matter.

Madeline had left it cryptic on purpose - a unsettling bout of paranoia creeping under her skin at the idea of the message being intercepted or read by others. A sensation she likened to spending weeks on end in solitude in a musty cell, insects and dirt crawling over every free surface of her skin leaving her clawing away at her skin until it was bloody and raw.

But she had made it to Ithor unscathed and mind finally settled. It was as though as soon as her feet touched the ground and she was surrounded by green hues she had felt peace - a sort of peace she hadn't felt in a long time.

It made her excited for what was to come of this meeting with Zylah, and she hoped the feeling stuck around for some time to come.

Unfortunately for Madeline, it had taken her longer than she anticipated to actually relocate Zylah's homestead and she had showed up at the woman's door an hour late.

Hopefully Zylah wouldn't be too upset.

Zylah had been more than happy to receive the message from [member="Madeline Roux"]. She had left a nice first impression after all. But she was eager to get to know her more. Deeper connections and friendships were not formed after brief single encounters after all. Yet she reminded herself there was more on the agenda than friendship. Maddie's intentions were somewhat vague, but whatever she needed help with, to the best of her ability Zylah would be there to help her figure it out.

Madeline had just missed Herron who journeyed out into the jungles of Ithor. He was probably headed to the abandoned Jedi temple. He had muttered something about needing supplies, but Zylah wasn't really sure if that was what it was really about.

Zylah had spent what little time she had on Ithor doing a combination of studying and training. The past hour had gone towards the former. Not reading per say, but a holovid; old recordings of Jedi Masters hosting advanced group training sessions for Jedi Knights. It was highly informative. That Maddie was late didn't trouble her at all. It was a vast distance she had travelled after all, complications could arise. Besides, with a notoriously late Padawan like Rosalyn, Zylah was beginning to learn the true nature of patience.

"Hey you! Be right out" Zylah's head popped out of a window from the floor above the main entrance. A quick glance above might reveal an incredibly pale face with a big grin on it, before it vanished as quick as it had appeared. Only moments later Zylah was there to welcome her guest, casually dressed for once in something other than the traditional Jedi tunics and robes. Nothing fancy though, just some loose beige pants and a white shirt. Even on her spare time the colour scheme was thematically correct.

When the door opened she stood there, same girl, same grin. Yet in the next moment her expression kind of froze, as if someone had put a camera in front of her, told her to smile but waited way too long before pushing the button. Ah kark, how do people do this? Do we hug? Shake hands? Awkwardly wave? High five? By the Force... "Welcooomee" Plssomeonetakethewheel
