- Droid Brain Backup: If the Flint is badly damaged and the crew must escape, or if a crew member is killed in action, the emergency droid brain can take over from the people inside. This can temporarily keep the tank in action, or cover the crew as they escape.

The Flint 2 Cruiser Tank is an upgrade of the older Fline MBT, integrating newer technology as well as upgrades to speed and maneuverability. The crew was reduced by one as well, allowing for more comfortable crew positions and the extension of the vehicle’s operating time. The tank is primarily meant to engage other equivalent armored vehicles and infantry, and is able to deal and take a respectable amount of damage while being fast enough to project power and exploit gaps. This led to its reclassification as a cruiser tank rather than a battle tank, and shifted its doctrinal role away from brawling with enemy armor and towards a mobile assault vehicle.
