Flying Cities made of Gold (Kaela)

[member="Kaela Jaryn"]

Location: The Golden City

The massive city was amazing, hovering over the volcanic continent that looms like a shattered section of the world and it was all mechanical as a tribute to ancient builders. Orihime on the other hand was loving it cause it was massive and she was certain almost entirely made of gold or something but she had never really been in the depths of it but it was an attractive place all of them could get to see. The ships arriving, the view holos showing the deserts of the world with the massive wheels for the mining and soldiers there. Not to be outdone on the oceans the sight of massive whale like fish leaping out of the water with thick colored scales. Her hair was there in a tight ponytail as it went to the small of her back over the grey robes of the ancient jedi master with her small saber in shoto form on her hip. "This place is wonderful."

Gold! Always believe in your heart. Or something like that. One of the perks of belonging to the dominant force in the galaxy was the travel. If she was honest with herself it was probably the perk. She'd heard rumors if a golden city, and while part of her had hoped it was made of actual gold, that wasn't exactly the case. Still, she'd travelled far to see the sights. And they weren't disappointing. Even the oceans were beautiful. She stood on the landing platform for the hangar and took a deep breath of the air, before setting off in the search of something tourist-esq to do...

The young padawan was moving in the city as she looked over some of the things there while walking and the enjoyment of all the people around her. They moved throughout the city and from the hangers and landing pads to the temples and buildings. All of it was a place of amazement until she was climbing one of the staircases to the top of a building to look out at the sights of the city. She could recall being here with [member="Reiko Ike"] her sister and the twins had run through the city streets growing up. Now her sister was off doing who knew what and her other one Lorieth was well traveling and being a padawan as well. It was a great time to well be exploring the galaxy and she remained up there just looking out.

Perhaps as the padawan roamed she may have noticed a figure clad in black, with a thick dark outer robe concealing her body as she made her way through the crowds. Kaela had decided on a destination, it seemed. A holosign had mentioned something about an observatory tower in the center of the city's sprawling landscape, and it seemed to suit her desire to see things to a tee. Besides, it was likely to be a little less busy there, and would thus be more productive for "touristing". Crowds were so... Crowded, after all, and she had long been taught that a blade could come from any angle, or any face. After all, the Sith had few friends in the Galaxy. Still, that suited her. Friends were an easy avenue for betrayal - a hard lesson she had learned on Dromund Kaas.

There was something there, from the tower she was watching the sky with the creatures in it and birds, the sounds of pople going about and something in the back of her head in the force. SHe didn't know what it was while some more people were coming up to the tower and she got excited, it was fun seeing all of them milling about before she took a seat near on the the vendor droids. She got some of the food it was selling and a drink while looking out over the cities skyline to the different sights with her back to the wall just in case. Could never be to careful but having a nice view of everything made it easy as she saw what looked like a small grav ball court and hover racer track.

Something was here. The thought was unbidden and pervasive, and it set Kaela's spine tingling. Something, or someone. More likely the latter. Unfortunately she couldn't yet pinpoint the location, mostly because she didn't know what to look for. Yet the feeling was there, and that was enough. The feelingdrew her closer to the tower, of which she now stood at the base of. It beckoned her inwards, in no small part due to the flashing neons and appealing holoads designed to get people to part with their hard earned credits. The crowds here were plentiful, going and coming from the tower as they did their touristing. It didn't take her long to spot the turbolifts that would take her to the summit and thus, unknowingly, towards the source of whatever was setting her on edge...

There was something and she looked out seeing more within the city skyline. The sight of the different moons appearing but more then that the feeling in her head came to her. It was closer now and she was looking. The sounds of people moving about seemed to be muted now as the presence got stronger. She didn't move just looking into the crowd in case they were there and raising the neck of her robes so it was tight before she was reaching out with the force to try and find them instead of just feeling them. Her mother had taught her how to work with the force to detect the presence of the force and she knew they could feel the force but they were unfamiliar to her.

The higher she climbed, the more intense this... Feeling became. She didn't know it, but the more the padawan used the force to search for her, the more the darksider found herself drawn to the Jedi. The force was a powerful agent, and a more apt compass than she could have hoped for. Still, the feeling of being drawn inexorably towards a destination set her nerves on fire, and her left hand naturally gravitated down towards the pommel of her lightsaber. Soon she would see the sights, but Kaela was beginning to wonder if they were the sights she had come to see at all...

There was something there now and it was almost like a sound pinging at the back of her eyes when the lift opened. More coming to see the sights and she was squinting as she rose up from the seat looking carefully and... more like an expectant date then a casual jedi. She needed to learn how to observe without being obvious... One of these days... later.... when she wasn't being lazyt or procrastination. She could learn it like next week or something or later."Hmm where." She said it to herself and rolled her tongue in her mouth searching as her head was darting from side to side to try and see what she could. Obvious jedi is obvious.
