Charlie Mgoo sat on a small stump outside of his Grandfather's freighter, in a small clearing on Yavin IV. The throaty song of some animal echoed through the canopy, the only sound other then birdsong that came from the clearing. Charlie and his Grandfather had signed up for another hunt with the Guild, again helping the Guildmaster Mrrew. He wans't quite sure why the Guildmaster kept asking for help on such small hunts... And he wasn't sure why his grandfather had suddenly become sick again, allowing Charlie to go on the hunt hismelf with Mrrew. He was beginning to wonder if his Grandfather let him go on the last one, and just said no at first to make it believable... No, why would he do that? There was no good reason. Charlie shrugged. It didn't really matter. They were supposed to go into the canopy of the jungle, somehow, and collect a hive of insects of some sort. Some kind of beetle, he coudln't remember what they were called. But first... Mrrew had to show up. Charlie gave an exaggerated sigh, looking up to the sky for any sign of Mrrew's ship.

Without warning, the sound of a ship piercing the atmosphere roared over the sounds of birds and the other animals of the Yavin canopy. Charlie looked up abruptly from where he was drawing in the dirt, to see Mrrew's ship appearing over the clearing. Charlie leaped to his feet, waving both arms above his head to signal Mrrew to land in the clearing. He didn't need to worry about that. The grey freighter flew low over the trees, almost clipping the hihgest branches of the canopy, and came at high speeds to the clearing. Then it suddenly twisted on it's side, it's wing cutting through the upper canopy ike a knife, and headed straight for the clearing. And straight for charlie. Charlie turned around and ran like his life depended on it towardes the jungle. A moment later, the ship suddenly righted itself, slowed down abruptyly, and landed gently in the clearing. CHarlie stared in disbelief.

The ramp lowered with a thunk, and Mrrew came staggering out, holding his head. An annoyed-sounding astrodroid followed him out, beeping irately. "Fine, fine! I won't try to fly anymore..." The astrodroid gave another annoyed beep, before rolling back into the ship. Mrrew stepped down, still looking dizzy, and looked up to Charlie. He was wearing his normal assortment of weapons and equipment, and his leather jacket over his vest looked like it had been cleaned recently. Probably since last time he saw Mrrew it was covered in Krayt dragon bile. The monstercat stepped over, seeming to recover from his dizziness, and nodded at Charlie. "Right... Are you ready to go?"

"I was ready ten minutes ago! Where've you been?" Mrrew looked Charlie up and down, before reaching into his gunbelt and producing a large white bottle, and tossing it to him. Charlie caught the bottle, and frowned. The label was ripped off, and it was impossible to tell what was inside. "Slather it on." The monster-cat thing, Charlie still didn't know what he was, said, before walking past him into the jungle. Charlie slowly screwed open the cap, keeping up behind Mrrew, and took a sniff of the contents. It smelled horrible. Charlie glanced up to Mrrew, frowning, but he only recieved a look in response. "Put it on, or go back to the ship." Charlie grimanced, and glanced down at the container in his hands. It spelled like rotted fruit mixed with way-too-strong perfume... Mrrew turned around, and stared at him. He slowly began to apply it to his arms... "Put it everywhere." Charlie groaned, and stared at Mrrew for a full minute, before slowly beginning to obey...

After a few minutes of smearing the yellowish lotion-like substance all over his body, Charlie, scowling fiercly, handed the container back to Mrrew. To his amazement, he proceeded to dump the rest of the container over his head. "You'll get used to the smell." At that, he turned around, and started walking into the jungle. Was he insane? CHarlie stared at him walking away for a few moments, before finally jogging to catch up. Why the heck did they have to put on that smelly stuff? It seemed to smell worse with every step they took... He definitely was not getting used to it.

Charlie watched Mrrew as they trekked on, the monstercat not saying a word to him. He seemed to be watching the bushes and foliage, looking for something... He had no idea what. He wasn't carrying his tranqulizer rifle like last time, when they'd shot the Krayt Dragon. It was on his back, in a sling ont eh back of his bandoleir, but he didn't carry any weapons... Wasn't he worried they'd be ambushed by something? He heard the creatures on Yavin IV were plenty dangerous. Mrrew didn't seme to care. After several more minutes of silence, Charlie let out one of his exaggerated sighs, and stopped. "Where are we going, anyway? It seems like we've been walking for hours!" Mrrew glanced back at him, narrowed his eyes, and kept on walking.

Charlie refused to move, indignant. "What are you looking for anyway? Trying to find a bug in a jungle?" Charlie was talking so loudly, he didn't notice the subtle buzz building in the treetops, or the fact that the birds seemed ot have quieted. Mrrew's ears twitched, but he simply stared at Charlie. "I thought you were supposed t be some great hunter! All we've done is pour sewage on ourselves, and walk through the jungle!" The buzzing was getting louder. Charlie was yet to notice. "You don't even have your gun out! What if we...." Charlie was cut off as Mrrew jabbed a finger upwards. Charlie slowly followed the finger, finally hearing the buzzing for the first time that had goten loud enough to almost drown out his yells. A troop of monkey-like things were racing through teh canopy above them, jumping from branch to branch, hooting worriedly. And suddendly a swarm of buzzing insects burst from the canopy.

The buzz was all around them. Charlie could hardly hear the screams of the monkeys in the trees over them as the insects literally flayed the flesh off their bodies. It only took a few seconds for skeletons to begin to drop around them as if they were falling fromt he sky, cleanly removed of all tissue. However, the beetles ignored them completely, as if no one was there. While Charlie watched the swarm in awe, a small cloud of smoke began to appear from where Mrrew was standing. Charlie turned abruptly, and backpedaled to avoid being caught in the cloud of smoke. The buzzing was beginning to fade. And the swarm left as abruptly as it had come.

When the smoke cleared, Charlie stared wide-eyed at Mrrew, surrounded by twitching Pirhana beetles all over the ground. He slowly looked down at the insects. Then up to Mrrew. Who, of course, gave no explanation. Instead, he removed a large burlap sack from his jacket, and tossed it to him. "They won't bite. Probably. Start gathering them up." Before he could say anything, Mrrew spoke again. "And next time if I tell you to put something on, don't complain. I tmight be the thing that stops you from ending up like that." Mrrew pointed at one of the monkey skeletons. "I would hurry if I were you." Mrrew bared his fangs in what Charlie had learned was a smile. "The smoke won't keep them asleep for long."

After ten minutes or so of frenzied beetle gathering, and getting nipped at a few dozen times by half-asleep insects, Charlie was walking behind Mrrew, carrying a tied sack full of beginning-to-buzz beetles. He wasn't sure what to think. On one hand... the swarm weas amazing. He could've never seen something like that hunting with his grandpa. Without getting eaten, that is. On the other hand... they could've gotten eaten. Then again, he supposed they wouldn't have... That's what the yellow stuff was for. He wasn't sure what he thought about these hunts with Mrrew... but he did hope there'd be another one. Charlie was snapped out of his thoughts as Mrrew outstretched a hand to take the bag, which was no buzzing full-force. They were back in the clearing, already. Charlie blinked at Mrrew, who was waiting patiently, and handed him the bag. A moment later, Mrrew handed Charlie a small credit chip, and walked back to his ship without another word.

He still wasn't sure if he liked Mrrew or not, though...
