FNRP #2 - Player Unknown (Open To All)

FNRP #2 - PLAYER UNKNOWN
You awaken to a soft breeze upon your face.
Your head pounds.
The metallic taste of blood is on your tongue, and your force yourself to stand as your blurred vision begins to adjust to the brightness.
But when you try to stand, there is no floor beneath you.

You're plummeting to your death.

You begin to struggle and scream, flailing about in the sky of what appears to be a tropical planet. You're about a kilometer above the planet's surface, so whoever put you in this position made sure to give you plenty of time to think about your death before you're pancaked. As your eyes begin to water from the shearing wind as you look around you. There's several others flying in the sky around you.

They're all screaming too.

A choir of innocent souls about to all plummet.

Then people begin pulling their parachute chords, but you plummet past.
You then realize in your anxiety that you are also wearing a parachute.
Since whatever method of flight you had previously available is no longer working, your hand reaches for the chord
and it rips.
The terrain becomes more and more increasingly familiar as that of Trandosha, planet of the reptilian slavers, a world of perpetual jungle.
Now to figure out where to land
and what is going on.

OOC:
The purpose of this FNRP (*SNRP) is for it to be a fun, public, open world RP. I have set the scene, now you make the adventure!

Work with other writers, write your own adventure.

This is not inherently a speed RP, though you can certainly make it one if you want. The thread will remain open for one week.

As the parachute deployed, Shu'nat grabbed at his back and found no trace of his backpack or gear, he pulled at what he thought was his rifle but there it was just a hydration pack, with one hand he steered the parachute towards a river off in the distance, and in the other he pulled the tube to his mouth. He looked down at the approaching ground and it immediately reminded him of his home world of Trandosha.

Shu'nat leaned back and slowed, he was almost to the ground and he began to move his feet, as he touched the ground he landed in a run and then slowed to a walk that lead into a complete stop. He pointed his reptilian head into the air and smelled for any prey, he smelt animals nearby and pulled off his parachute. He looked at the rocky ground, riverbed and mountains off in the distance above the rainforest trees. He hissed loudly to scare off predators and turned his parachute, he noticed a blaster pistol and tugged it off. He then began packing the olive colored fabric back into the back in case he would need it.

"I need food."

He stood and filled his hydration bladder with water and then turned and darted into the brushline. He stopped and sniffed again, his Trandosian nose picking up the scent of something off in the distance. He readied his pistol and moved quickly towards the scent. He seen a large haury animal walking and he jumped over the Ridge and charged it while growling and shooting. The beast toOK multiple shots and then fell over.

Shu'nat smiled and approached the beast, he notice the sun going down so he grabbed some sticks and rocks and began making a fire. He looked around and noticed a small box near a tree, he pryed open the wooden box and inside was a touch for lighting fires, a survival knife and a note congratulating him for finding the crate. He read carefully.

"If you are reading this, then congratulations, you have just gotten tools to help you survive and you will likely find more of these boxes. In each box you will find items to assist your fight for survival, and the last creature standing will receive 5 million credits."

Shu'nat growled with distaste and approached the creature, he lit the fire and began cutting the meat.

Jim was not one for loving heights. He had just realized he was falling... fast he needed to find a safe place to land. Below him was jungle. however a mile west was open plains, far safer than trying to land past the branches and whatever lurked in those trees. He landed softer than he expected. Jim smirked as he took off his parachutes.

"Another happy landing." Jim said to himself. However after realizing his flask of lum was missing it turned out to be a very bad landing. after looking for an hour he finally gave up. and sat on the dirt floor thinking his current situation over.

Jim couldn't remember much before this. he knew his home world was Naboo and after he was exiled he became a smuggler, but all recent memory of his was gone it seemed. Jim knew he didn't have amnesia, he could remember everything in his past, and as for a concussion, his head felt fine. He deduced he must've been drugged. Since the planet he was on was most likely Trandosha home to Trandoshan Slavers and Hunters.

Jim suddenly saw a blaster bolt whiz by him.

"Kark! I mizzed another one!" The one said, apparently the Trandoshan hunting him was a bad shot with an even worse temper. Jim looked for cover in the open plains. However it was no use. Jim began zig zag running towards the jungle the Trandoshan kept trying to shoot at him instead of infront of him.

Jim found safety in the cover of the jungle, he was relieved. after looking for people for a bit he stumbled upon a box and a note.

"If you are reading this, then congratulations, you have just gotten tools to help you survive and you will likely find more of these boxes. In each box you will find items to assist your fight for survival, and the last creature standing will receive 5 million credits."

They have to survive each other, and Trandoshan big game hunters? Jim knew he had to find himself a team soon. He looked in the box and saw the most beautiful thing he's ever seen, a full flask of lum. Jim cried one tear of happiness. He knew with this kind of luck he was going to win.

Daniel woke up with two thoughts in his head. The first being, how much did he have last night, and the second one being, why the hell didn't his parachute work?? The second he had woken up, he thought to himself, 'Self, you wouldn't jump out of a ship without a parachute right?' Thankfully, his thought was correct, but not thankfully, the parachute didn't seem to be working. Oh well, he'd have to improvise. Somehow. Looking down below him, he studied the planet surface as best as he could with wind pelting his face. Trees, trees everywhere. Kashyyk? Transdosha? Either seemed plausible, but he figured he'd only find out once he hit the ground, hopefully not with a splat. As he considered his options, a lightbulb soon popped up in his head. There had been something he'd been wanting to try for a while now, and this was as good of a time as ever. Taking a breath, he straightened his body so he was diving headfirst to the ground, judging as best as he could how far up he was. He had maybe, seven seconds till he became a very nasty pancake. Still, he kept his course. Four seconds. He righted his body up, putting his hands at a downward angle. Two seconds. With considerable effort, he sapped the moisture from the air and condensed it into ice in front of him. Right before hitting the ground, he found himself skidding on a path of ice he'd made in the air. The victory only lasted a moment however, because he did wind up hitting the ground. Tumbling for a few seconds, he finally stopped moving, just glad to be alive. Standing up, he brushed himself off as he got his bearings. It did look a bit like Transdosha, though he didn't know for sure, only having heard and read about it. He just knew it wasn't Kashyyk. Not five feet away, he saw a box and a note. Grabbing the note, he read it quickly before throwing it down. Yup. Definitely Transdosha. He was on the hunt. Opening the box, he was irritated, but not surprised, to find it empty. He was completely on his own here. He'd survived in the ice without resources for days on end before, but that was different. Now he was in a jungle, being hunted by giant reptiles. He made a sour face at the thought of it. He needed to find a weapon. That was his first objective, since his own had apparently been confiscated. For the moment, he could rely on his shaping skills to help him out; there was surely enough moisture in the air for that.

Consciousness was regained and immediately, Oron felt the numbing throb of an unrelenting headache beating within his skull with the rhythmic pound of a drunken barbarian, swinging stick after stick to strike a drum. The painful sensation only allowed him to slowly open his eyes, revealing crimson orbs holding a confused, suffering gaze. The pale blue sky above looked back to him with an empty quiet face, save a few clouds making their way to the east. The Mandalorian had the notion to simply close his eyes again, but the constant wind disallowed it- he attempted to stand and couldn't. Shock replaced the pain he once felt, as his nerves bellowed, making it feel as if his stomach would fold in on itself.

He looked around, noticing dozens of individuals dropping at the same rate as him. He checked his person and discovered an additional back item. His hand found the handle, and as if on que, the plummeting people around him started releasing parachutes one by one. Sure that he was equipped with the same equipment, he pulled on the handle, the chord barely audible in the wind of his descent- and looked up to see the maroon colored parachute balloon open above him. The parachute gave a momentary break to his fall as he was snatched upwards, before slowly moving towards what he finally made out to be trees.

How did I get here? Why am I on a jungle planet? Who's responsible?

All questions that flooded the Merc's mind, and should he survive the fall he was determined to find the answers sooner or later.

Approaching the roof of the trees below he straightened up, pursing his legs together as he gambled, plummeting through the threes before his parachute finally caught on enough branches to stop his fall. Satisfied that he'd only received a few minor scratches to his face, he still missed having his helmet. Loosening a few hooks and clips he detached himself and dropped to the ground below, landing on his feet with a heavy thump.

Trandosha?

This planet felt all too familiar...A cursory glance of his surroundings settled his eyes on a wooden box that looked much to clean to have been out in the open for long. He approached it and cracked open the lid.

"If you are reading this, then congratulations, you have just gotten tools to help you survive and you will likely find more of these boxes. In each box you will find items to assist your fight for survival, and the last creature standing will receive 5 million credits."

Oron was no one's play thing...but he is a mercenary, and he wouldn't forgive himself for passing up 5 millions credits. Surviving was one thing, but for being put into the situation involuntarily he'd have no choice but to open up the show runners with his new found blade- should he get the chance. He pocketed the torches and left the box and note behind before moving into the brush and deeper into the jungle. Blade raised.

Sareen had spent three days in the vast jungles of Dosha, hunting whatever wild beasts he could skin for pelts. Once he was finished he would go back to the nearest settlement, a place he had come to call home, sell what he could, take a few days off, and come back and repeat the process. The days of being a slaver and a bounty hunter on the world stage had long passed. After being imprisoned by [member="Lady Kay"], his reputation and his eternal Jagganath points had been wiped clean. It was the largest dishonor a Trandoshan could experience. Sareen, nearing the end of his life, had no choice but to retire to his home planet of Dosha to try and scrap what Jagganath he could back by becoming a hunter out in the reaches of the jungle.

This weeks run had been like any other once he saw the parachutes multiplying across the sky, oblivious to the reason they were there. Sareen raised his rifle to get a shot at any of them, but he lowered it, realizing the opportunity ahead of him. A wide grin spread across his scaly face, this was going to be a memorable hunt.

B'kik

The cutest capitalist thief you will ever see
"Nekkel juuvar obwegadada Hkeek nkulla Ra'ti"
Even after his kiluyak parachute activated B'kik was swearing.
The planet he landed on seemed like Trandosha
"When did the lizards drug me?"
B'kik heard some shootogawa and quickly gogowa to a good hiding spot
here B'kik saw a box with a note one it saying
"Welcome to this lovely land I hope you landed safely. Can you figure a way off this planet or will you end up dying like some of the people before you. Now remember this isn't a dream and you can die"
inside the box B'kik found what seemed to be a cycler rifle with a few rounds
"if A'raak was here this would be really good but ikee guess ikee gotta figure out how to shootogawa like a tusken"

Nefertari rushed into the jungle, filled with determination to not die here. Last thing she remembered, she was refueling her ship. After that, nothing before awakening here; with blaster bolts flying after her. With a speedy assailant almost on her, Nef reached out with the force and sent him flying.

Taking a rest on a boulder, Nefertari noticed a box to the side of it. Cracking it open, the lady found a ration pack and a canteen along with a note.
"If you are reading this, then congratulations, you have just gotten tools to help you survive and you will likely find more of these boxes. In each box you will find items to assist your fight for survival, and the last creature standing will receive 5 million credits."

"Son of a Bantha"
Nefertari was certainly annoyed to be involved in something reminiscent of a holoflick she'd seen with Gherron, someone she should have been getting home to. Well, this wasn't all bad: whoever had drugged and taken everybody here had had the decency to provide a parachute, and five million would put Articus and any other children Nef had through school with funds to spare. Still, she'd need to find some method of not killing, and not being killed until she could accomplish the more important task of getting off this planet and either back to her ship on Naboo or home to Chandrila.

Walking, or rather, sneaking around; Nef noticed other people unarmed, their weapons confiscated or otherwise missing. Nef checked for her own, finding that something had kept one of her lightsabers safe. Other than that, the earlier box's contents, and the clothes on her back, Nef had nothing. Hiding in a tree, she saw a man looking at a flask almost seductively. Deciding he couldn't be too dangerous, she dropped down and went over to talk to him.

"Feeling alright?"

Shu'nat woke up next to the embers of the fire that had all but died during the night before, he looked at the now-rotting carcass of the creature he hadid slain and thought of how comfortable his stomach felt full. He was not one to waste, so he strained salt from the river and preserved some meat for his pack, he ripped part of the parachute fabric to wrap it and by the time he had awoken, it was still good. He grabbed his parachute pack and blaster pistol, there was no way that he was going to die here. Shu'nat leaned forward and grabbed some sand, then he tossed it into the fire.

Shu'nat began to stir the embers when a blaster bolt flew over his head and hit the tree, he growled a satanic, prehistoric sir and charged the shots, dodging them. He spotted the shooter, it was a Trandosian with a carbine. He charged him and darted over trees and rocks. Shu'nat tackled the fellow reptile to the ground and the began brawling, Shu'nat forced two punches in to the Trandosian''s eyes and then was swiftly pushed back, he jumped at him and used his claws to gash the Trandosian in the face.

"Now you mussss' die!"

Shu'nat grabbed a small boulder from next to him and rise it above his head and began smashing it atop the creatures head. He pulled the Boulder back from the bloodied head of his fellow Trandosian and spat on the body. He folded it's arms then grabbed the blaster and backpack the creature had. Inside, he foundarmor, ammunition and food, along with two bottles of water. As he was searching he heard shuffling in the brush nearby, he sprinted up the Ridge and pulled his new backpack over his back and rifle up to his shoulder. He approached a Ridgeline and looked over to see tall grass and a man with brown hair moving along, he quickly and cautiously approached.

"Hello new Friend! Nice to ss'see someone elssse made it."

Shu'nat looked at the man for a quick moment before noticing a woman emerge from the trees.

"Hello, feeling all right?"

He smiled and fully revealed himself.

"I am just fine, but our new friend seems a little scrambled.

"Feeling alright?" a woman who seemed harmless enough walked towards him.

He hadn't even noticed that the girl fell from a tree as he was too fixated on the flask of lum.

Jim looked at her, then back to the flask, then back at her again. "Doll, I'm feeling much better with a flask in my hand." Jim approached the woman slowly, lightly lifted her hand and slowly kissed it. Even in a dangerous situation Jim always had enough time to be charming. "And who might you be?"

"Hello new Friend! Nice to ss'see someone elssse made it." a voice suddenly said from the vegetation.

Jim raised his hands as the Trandoshan approached him.

However the Trandoshan was not raising his carbine towards them. He actually seemed genuinely friendly, rare trait for the Trandoshan species. He might be their ticket out of here.

Jim looked at the Trandoshan carefully. "You're not a hunter, are you?"

Koda was pretty sure she didn't fall asleep falling through the air, so why she was waking up doing so was beyond her. Her mouth was open like she was screaming, but the wind whipped away any sense of voice or sound. She began to notice others falling with her, and they all wore parachutes. Her heart fluttering with hope about her survival, she reached for the cord fluttering around her shoulder and pulled. The parachute opened above her, but something was wrong. She wasn't slowing down at all, just kept falling. "Kark!" She screamed just before smashing into the upper canopies of the rainforest below. She tumbled through the branches, squeezing her eyes shut so twigs wouldn't stab her eyes out. Her arms went up to protect her face as she felt herself rotate multiple times, smashing into and through multiple branches. Her body suddenly stopped as if something was holding her back from the ground. Her feet were dangling below her. Opening her eyes, she realized what had happened. Her parachute had caught in the trees and she was dangling a few feet above the ground.

Unbuckling the strap across her chest, she slid out of the backpack, dropping to the ground in a less-than-dignified manner. She sat in the foliage, taking a minute to check everything over. She didn't feel anything broken, just a lot of cuts and bruises. Her weapons were also gone, including her gauntlets. "Dammit," she spat out, rubbing her sore arm. "Whoever took those are going to be sorry." Those gauntlets were one of a kind, built by Koda by hand and modified to her liking. They couldn't just be gone. A few feet in front of her, she noticed a box. She blinked, a bit skeptical. A box sitting in the middle of a forest? Still, she crawled over to it and opened it.

Inside sat a note, which she read over. She just had to survive and she'd get 5 million credits. With that kind of money, she could replace her gauntlets and then some. Setting the note to the side, she began taking out the other contents of the box. A few ration packs, a canteen, and a knife. She pocketed the food, but before she could sheath the knife, a branch snapped behind her. She spun around, holding the knife up. The forest was still. Slowly, she got to her feet, feeling the air currents around her with her montrols. Instinctively, she began to run, moving from side to side to throw anyone off who might be aiming at her. The tree next to her split with blaster fire and she pulled a hard turn to the left. A thick log lay in front of her and she noticed a gap underneath. Dropping, she slid under the log but didn't realize the ground gave way to a steep slope until she was halfway down it.

Soon, her body came to a stop and she realized that aside from those hunters, she wasn't alone. In front of her, with a similar box to what she opened, was a boy with bluish-grey hair. "Hey," she nodded at him casually, trying to play off the fact she just went for a ride. "Did you get dropped in by parachute too?"

Zaiden plummeted through the air... Again. Why did he continue to fall? Once upon a time, Zaiden had jumped from ships to show his abilities. Now, he was being forced into doing so on numerous occasions. This time though, he had a much larger amount of time to come too. When he finally realized where he was, and what was happening, Zaiden arced his body like an arrow straight downward.

When the time came, Zaiden flexed his full power into his arms, then caught a nearby thick branch. This allowed his body to swing forward, flipping up then over the branch before coming back downward as previous. Having done a swift flip over the branch had slowed his built up speed, so he simply dropped when gravity pulled him downward again. This time he landed on an even thicker branch, one which hung him over a younger gentleman.

"Can any of you explain why I had to save myself, again?"

"If I wassss, you would already be dead. Not all Trandosian'ss are monssssterss."

Shu'natl laughed at the confused man and woman for a moment then started quickly.

"I'm Shu'nat, and you fine people are?"

"I'm Nefertari."

"I"m Jim."

He smiled and looked at the two and quickly squatter and removed the two packs. He pulled open the parachute bag and extended the covered preserved meat.

"Here you go, itsss fresh and tassssty."

He pulled out a price of jerky for himself and ate it while still offering some to the new companions.

As the two began to reach a man plummeted from the branches and almost hit them before grabbing a branch and swinging towards them. He hit the ground and with a smirk and sarcastic tone asked,

"Can any of you explain why I have to save myself, again?"

Shu'nat laughed with confusion and the others just stood.

"You, my friend, have issssuessss!"

A rush of air blasted her hair behind her head, still wearing her officer's uniform but with none of the equipment that she usually enjoyed. Eyes fluttering, she saw the terrain that was beneath her. The jungles of a foreign planet. This was definitely not Coruscant, or even any of the core worlds. No. This was a place where law and justice would not be assisting her today, as made evident by the shoddy parachute that had attached been deployed after an attempt to fix her hair, in fear of it being ripped from its strands.

In a split second, she was now in the thick of the jungle with the parachute's fabric catching on the tree's branches, forcing her to remove it and hit the ground with a solid thump. Almost right beside her was the same mysterious group that some of the other survivors had found.

"If you are reading this, then congratulations, you have just gotten the tools to help you survive and you will likely find more of these boxes. In each box you will find items to assist your fight for survival, and the last creature standing will receive 5 million credits!"

Please. Speaking into herself. 5 million credits? 5 million credits that could be stolen. I've got a lot better things to be doing than killing whatever poor souls find themselves trapped on this cesspit. And speak of the devil, she could hear them conversing. It appeared that her landing point was just on the fringes of the jungle, near the hills that the small group had gathered on. In the survival pack she found some basic rations, a holdout blaster and some sort of water filter, attempting to store them in the pockets of her trousers that were not suited for this environment.

Crouching on her knees and scouting on to the terrain above, she thought once more. Well... they're not killing eachother and began to walk forward to them, though cautious not to startle them.

She made a waving gesture to them, "Officer Takeo, does anybody have any idea where we are or if there is a nearby communications outpost so we can get off of this... planet?" Speaking with a friendly smile.

Unlike the others, Zaiden made no haste to open any of the boxes laid about around them. Instead he trusted in his powers. While he did not have the power of a Master as he had, he possessed the knowledge he once did. His was the mastery level of most known basic abilities, and even more rare ones. Not to mention his knowledge of Sith Spells.

If a battle ensued, he was prepared to survive. Lucky for this group, he was not whom he had been before. Else they likely would have perished quickly, voraciously.

"I have only one issue. I hate being blown out of the sky." Zaiden acknowledged the Trandoshan, to the other woman he explained, "Trandosha. I have been here before. The locale, I could not quite make out as I was concentrating on not dying." A gesture to his back showed he was shot from the craft above with no parachute, "But yes, there is likely a comms unit somewhere nearby that we might locate to call for aid."

Moving toward the tree he had dropped from, Zaiden began to climb it swiftly. With precise grips, strong lunges, he had scaled to be able to see into the distance. They would need to see, too escape.

Tanya felt air flying by her. Her robes were pressed against her, and her hair was fluttering behind her. Something was wrong. The young woman opened her eyes, and saw the ground hurtling toward her. Before she had time to comprehend what had happened, she was in a tree. She didn't stay in the tree, falling out and hitting the ground hard. slowly she stood up, acknowledging the immense pain in her head and chest. the head pain was likely from the rapid pressure change, but her chest likely had internal damage. She felt in her robe for the familiar hilt of her lightsaber. Thankfully, it was there, but nothing else of hers was. Where was she, and why was she here? What was she doing falling from the sky? In front of Tanya, a box with a not on top. Reading the note quickly and tearing open the box, she was sorely dissapointed. Someone wanted her to die, and most likely at the hands of others who fell.

Tanya had been walking for several hours, or maybe minutes, as the thick jungle made it difficult to move. Eventually, she came to a clearing, with people in it. Probably others who fell. Stepping into view, Tanya announced her presence.

"Hello. if any of you know what the hell is going on, saying so know would help greatly."

"Officer Takeo, was it?" Jim said, though typically Jim would try and charm the woman, Jim was not one for flirting with government officials. "What is that your an officer of, exactly?"

"Great another person." Jim thought to himself.

Jim noticed that this group was getting to big, that would make it easier for the Trandoshan hunters to kill them. if any of them wanted to get to the coms tower they would have to split up or risk being killed. Jim looked at the group.

"Look I'm all for a good party, but if any of you plan on making it out of here alive, we need to split up, it'll be easier for the Hunters to pick us off if we herd together." Jim said, "Now I know none of you elected me team leader, but if you don't mind, I've got a plan where..." Jim looks around, "Well not to sugarcoat it, at least half of us will make it."

Jim picked up a stick and drew an x in the wet jungle mud. "So we're here." Jim said.

He then drew an o about 2 meters away "and we need to get here." Jim said.

"So I'm assuming that the trandoshan's would hunt us down if we just do a beeline for the coms center, most of us would be dead by the time we got there. so unless this place is a mile away, which would be unlikely, we need to go around."

Jim drew two curved lines in the dirt going from the x to the o.

"So we need to split up in two teams one making a curve to the right, the other curving to the left. that way the hunters will have to split up. Also you," Jim said talking to the man in the tree. "Did you see the coms station? Do you even know where it is?" He then looked back at the group? "So any objections to my plan?"

He tried to stay calm as the wind roared around him. No armor, no weapons and no idea where in the Seven Correllian Hells he was. The last thing he could remember was sneaking aboard what looked like a cargo freighter to follow Trandoshan slaver Skrakus. His prey, it seemed had made him the hunted instead. Davin looked around, several others falling, most had already pulled their shutes. With a sigh he pulled the tab. His stomach shot up into his throat as the primitive device slowed his decent a little too quickly.

Pat Pat.

A knife, beskar, hidden from Skarakus and his goons. As he neared the canopy he cut himself loose and tumbled into the treetops, branches scratching his face and hands as he fell, slowed by the Force. He landed with a thud and a roll. The forest floor was much quieter than blustering wind, the birds singing was almost peaceful if it wasn't for the fact that he was still in survival mode. Skarkus made a grave mistake leaving a Mandalorian alive. Now he had two reasons to find the lizard. To get paid, and to get revenge.

Introductions had been made all around. Jim was charming, but in Nefertari's opinion, not as much as Gherron. Zaiden was undoubtedly trained in the dark side, hopefully he and Nef wouldn't get at each other's throats. The newest addition to the party, along with the Trandoshan and the cop were pretty mysterious to her. And now they were making a plan to get to a comm station. Splitting the party was a bit of a risky move, but it was better than the alternative.

"No objections from me, my skills are at your disposal."

B'kik

The cutest capitalist thief you will ever see
B'kik saw a trando hunting party
"Ikee weeza teach baa a lesson un bringing m'bwa here"
Aiming his cycler rifle to the trandos head B'kik pulled the trigger
The sound of the slug thrower could be heard all around the forest.
The other trandos were taken aback but then regained focus and started shootogawa B'kik
B'kik and the trandos were having a fire fight and chances are the sound of the cycler rifle's shots will attract more trandos and maybe some survivors
