It's really unfortunate what has happened. I'm going to throw my name up for the FO and GM spot. So that people understand where I stand, I'm going to try to lay out my platform as clearly as I can, and I am open to questions.
As FO/GM, I would remain committed to seeing the SJO stick to being Light Side faction, fighting the good fight against the Sith and all the other baddies who threaten our slice of the map. However, I would like the SJO to be more proactive and engaging, like working more closely with the GA, and I suppose the TA in their fight against the FO. I had a good time with the other SJO writers I brought along with me to the Skor invasion.
IC and OOC, I am a fairly pragmatic person. As stated before, and shown through my actions, I really don't have an issue working with Dark Jedi or other questionable characters as long as they're willing to help us, and abide by our standards while providing assistance (again, to avoid another Korriban). IC, outside the Silver Order itself, I would like to encourage the activity of independent FU and NFU within our sphere of influence, in a similar setup that the GA has for its NJO members, and other FU. As long as they're following basic laws, then I really don't care if they want to run around in dark hoodies and all that other jazz.
In the short term, I'd immediately move to repair relations with the Tygaran Alliance and the Iron Empire. Beyond that, I would also like to finally sit down with the GA/NJO IC and talk about working together against common threats bouncing back and forth between us. It's not a big secret that certain powers want to see us both go down. It doesn't make sense to continue having such chilly relations. I can't predict the GA response, but at least on our end, I will extend a hand of friendship and cooperation.
Aside from our allies, it's a good idea to also engage with TRE, who are shaping up to be our primary foes for the time being. Working together to craft some entertaining storylines while trying our best to keep out the salt and toxicity from the mix. Ideally, I'd like a setup that the GA and FO had in the early days, at least in terms of coordination to make sure events between us move smoothly.
Long term, I'd definitely plan on growing this faction by trying to get us back becoming more inclusive and steering away from this more restrictive hardline stance the faction has assumed as of late under certain characters. I want to also get more feedback from fellow members about creating events to keep them more engaged in the SJO.
There's other things, like working harder at recruiting, and forum upkeep (our current layout is messy and redundant).
So as for my qualifications. I've been around Chaos for a little while now, and I have previously been an FO of a major faction before. Unfortunately, the GR was too far gone to recover. During my tenure as FO, I also made some mistakes as I was getting a feel for the position, but with those mistakes made, I gained some experience on how to better comport myself. I learned the value of maintaining good communication and attitude. I also learned the importance of handling toxic members. I've seen in both the GR, and most recently in the SJO how one or two people can just drag the whole group down. I will not put up with anyone who is going to be nasty to their fellow writers. Hate each other all you want IC, but we should try to stay chill.
I'm pretty active, posting at least a few days a week, and I can usually be reached pretty quickly on Discord via the official SJO channel and through DMs. At, most it'll only be a few hours wait time for a response from me unless I'm sleeping or working. My phone is almost permanently attached to my hip. I've had some other projects I've been working at on Chaos, but I'm willing to put those on hold to put my focus completely on the SJO to get it back on track.
