SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Can Be Tattooed In Various Forms
Strengths:
  • Empowerment: The primary function of Focus Ink is to act much like a talisman of concentration would. The Ink, once properly tattooed, function as a sort of enhancement to the force. This effect is natural and instant, though unconscious. When one utilizes the force through the area that is tattooed the effect of the force power becomes enhanced. This effect doesn't automatically bring a force power to it's peak, however it is noticeably stronger. A force push that would ordinarily knock someone over would instead send them flying a few feet back, a force bellow meant to crack glass might instead shatter it, effects are enhanced through the Tattoos and the ink itself.
  • Lightside: The Focus Ink was born of Lightside Force Imbument, and thus functions only for lightsiders. The ink and the Tattoos created from it will burn when it touches those that use the darkside a profuse amount.
Weaknesses:
  • Location: The Focus Ink works only in the effected Tattooed area. This means that one needs to use the force through the Tattoo in order for it to actually take effect. If a force user wants to empower their force push they must have their hand Tattooed, if they want to enhance their Speed with the force the Tattoo must cover the body, effects are localized to only where the Tattoo is placed.
  • Burns: Due to the nature of the Ink, it's quite easy to "overload" the Focus ink with too much power. This effect kicks into gear when the user channels too much into the focus ink itself. Though the Ink will keep channeling the force, the tattoo will begin to sting, burn, and eventually scorch from the skin itself, causing severe pain and debilitation. The Focus Ink was created to only handle a certain amount of 'normal' power relative to the user, and tends to overload when truly pressed.
  • Lightside: The Focus Ink was born of Lightside Force Imbument, and thus functions only for lightsiders. The ink and the Tattoos created from it will burn when it touches those that use the darkside a profuse amount.
DESCRIPTION
After her creation of the Light Ink, Aela realized that she could use some of it's properties to create something equally helpful.

Born of what was at the time mostly curiosity, Aela took the process of how she made Light Ink and applied it in a different manner, tinkering and working with different techniques of force imbument until she eventually landed on what was a more 'classic part' of the creation of Force Imbued swords.

It has long been the nature of lightside weapons that they act as channels and focuses of powering, following the path of many Sith Swords that allow a force user to hone their power. This was what Aela was after when she created focus Ink. Looking through the records to find histories of many Amulets, Swords, rings, and other talismans, she eventually landed on the facts of what she wanted.

Eventually through the same methods of testing and experimentation she landed on Focus Ink.

The Ink functioned rather simplistically, basically becoming a sub-dermal artifact of concentration, allowing a force user to enhance and focus their power at one specific part in their body. The Tattoos that were created with this ink acted as 'focusing' crystals for the force, essentially increasing the power of individual force moves. This increase was not overly large, a force push didn't suddenly become a crippling wave of destruction, but instead the effect was just enough to be significant and effective.

Aela, delighted with her finished product, was again first to receive one of these Tattoos, the bright white ink settling in a spiral tree upon her right hand, winding up to her wrist and nearly to her elbow.
