The sounds of the blade on the cutting board was the most important part. THe Silver Rest was moved to the High Plane of the Jedi. She was prepared for a lot of things and one of them was in the kitchen as the small Jin Jedi Master spun with some flare the knife in the palm of her hand. Using it to slice into the veggies that were going into the larger pot. A pair of padawans helping her as they were bringing other knives for her to use and giving the ones she passed to them to a cleaning droid. The smell of exotic meats from around the galaxy being soaked in different flavors from around the galaxy and the best par while she was prepared. The plates were coming out when she moved to the meats, sliding them onto grills that started to sizzle. Other padawans who were learning handled the plating for the moment.

"Master Wu, we are done." The voice came soft and small but she moved over to look at them and what works they had set up with a smile on her face. THis was what she enjoyed doing... well and diplomatic talks but this was the best way to start such talks.. everyone could bond and find common ground over food. The smells of the meats came as she started putting them on the plates and small covered were being added with microheaters that would keep them hot and fesh for a little longer to allow others to come and get them. The mess hall of the temple filled as more and more were being done with the droids mirroring her actions to a precision so it was all the same among the people in the kitchen. She moved with two plates in each hand and oness one her forearms as she balanced and set them down.

"Food is served." The line of padawans and jedi were there. Visitors to the temple as it was in the place that allowed most ships to have a way through the hyperspace barrier to try and chance making it through the void to the companion galaxies. SHe smiled giving the various padawans plates of food and letting them all go around to the tables. The serving droids bringing drinks for all of them and she stretched out when she went behind the counter and was setting it up to feed any who was coming.

Catronia had been told by her master to join some other padawans on a trip to the massive High Plane station. Even descriptions from the archives barely did the scale of the place justice. It was beyond massive, and seemed to host every sort of flora that could be dreamed of. Such a thing would have seemed impossible to the young Sarkhai if she had not seen it with her own eyes. And while she loved walking through the station, it did make her quite hungry to walk everywhere. It was because of this that she was glad she could stop in with the other padawans and sample some exotic cuisine.

The young lady stood out from her peers rather well, mostly because of her tribal face paint. Though, being several years older than the average padawan didn't help her blend in much either. She just hoped no one could hear the rumbling of her stomach as she marched in line to get food. Once it was her turn in line she froze for a moment. Such a spread of delicious looking food! No doubt most of the veggies were locally sourced and quite fresh, truly this was an amazing place.

Catronia took a bowl from the spread and placed it on her tray. It was filled with noodles and a rather aromatic broth, not to mention a smattering of other rather tasty looking ingredients. She then sat down by herself, away from all of the other padawans. While she was happy that her master pushed her into coming here, she still was a bit of a recluse.

Picking up her fork she scooped up a bit of the noodles to take a taste of them. The spices in the broth tickled her tongue for a moment, before setting it alight. Her hands clasped tight over her lips, muffling a quiet yelp. She had a pretty low spice tolerance, and she hadn't expected the noodles to be so hot. Some of the other young Jedi giggled and scoffed at the pale woman's reaction. Not the greatest start to her trip, she'd say that.

The smells of the different food continued as Wu went down the line. Pans over the heat being moved as rice and eggs in alternating ones shifted... prepared for them to be able to serve more. The padawans giving out to the ones on the line when her hand came out sending small cubes onto the rice and the heat of the rice dissolved spreading it out. THey were still plating more as there was still a line but she was more then glad to do it while standing up as the droids took over. "There is plenty of food for everyone and we have been working on new flavors for the padawans milks to get them to enjoy it. So enjoy please." She offered a smile and stepped down from the small stand she had so she could be seen while moving to make the round and converse. She met dozens of padawans a day when she was cooking and she did train a number of them. Finishing another table as she had one of the droids bring refills for their drinks... then she heard some laughs from a yipp while she turned and moved. SHe looked at the pale girl and offered a smile. "Is it alright?"

"Oh yes these noodles are quite delicious, they're just a little on the erm...hot side. It didn't hurt at first and then the spice hit me." It was clear that the young girl was slightly nervous speaking to others, especially given that the other person was a Jedi. Actually, that was a thought. Why was a Jedi working in a space station kitchen anyway? Was this some kind of Jedi retirement plan? That seemed highly unlikely given the other woman's age.

"I feel so rude though, I should introduce myself before speaking to someone of your stature Mistress. I am Catronia, it is wonderful to meet you." Catronia gave a slight bow of her head before continuing to enjoy her meal. While she didn't understand why a Jedi would be stuck cooking, she couldn't argue with the results. The only thing she wasn't the biggest fan of was the oddly green-tinged milk. Though the strange thickness of it was doing quite a lot to cool her burning taste buds.

"Spice aside, this was a delightful meal! It is no wonder the line formed so quickly for your cooking Mistress. Though I must say, I would think mere cooking would be below a Jedi's station."

"Below a jedi's station." She said it with a smile on her face when she was looking at her. Standing there for a moment giving a warm smile. "Everyone needs to eat and a jedi serves everyone." She looked at her though while holding a hand out for the droid. "It is nice to meet you Catronia, I am Wu. ONe of the jedi diplomats and chefs when I am here on the High Plane." She said it. "It is one of the jedi stations and serves to train many as well as offer a safe place out of the reach of most of the galaxies." She kept the smile and there was the different flavored and colored milks. "The green isn't entirely the best but for spice...." She said it and selected a pink one. "Berries from Hapes infused with it for flavor. Good for spices." She sat down while more food was being served. "So what brought you here today?"

So Jedi were as much servants of the galaxy as they were its protectors? Such wise words humbled the padawan as she intently listened to Master Wu. When Wu spoke of the High Plane as a safe place, that made Catronia think. Why wouldn't the Jedi have more places like this? Hidden stations where they could evade the war. Most nobles of her planet would kill for such an unassailable castle as this.

Before she could spend too long thinking, a glass was produced for her by a droid, and handed off by the beautiful Jedi. Colored milk had a certain strangeness to it conceptually for Catronia, but what didn't in these wild parts of space? When she drank of it, her eyes widened win disbelief of what she was tasting. "Oh my word, yes that is much better! My deepest thanks to you Master Wu."

"As for why I am here, it's really not much of a story. My master is off helping those effected by the war with the Mandalorians. He believed I was not ready to go to such places, and so he signed me up for a trip to this wonderful station. He said I could continue my studies here until he returns from the battlefield."

The praise for the milk was the most important and welcoming. SHe listened to why she was here and nodded to that as well as it was a key element all had to deal with. A new war brought pain and in some ways it might be needed. As much as she wanted peace she understood a core thing... people disagreed and there was always conflict. "Well we are happy to have you here... there is much one can learn among the jedi of the high plane and not just for war though there is also that. The kitchen is just as important as is the classrooms and usually after preparing meals I talk with some padawans about diplomatic roles or scenarios." She said it while taking her in and at first she thought maybe arcanian but no... "You are welcome though to learn anything you wish. There are dozens of classes across the high plane and some can be surprising with the envinronment able to shift and alter to fit the needs."

"More than anything I wish to learn more about the force, and how to live with it." Catronia was always willing to tell people about the force, less so the reason for her search. With milk in hand she stood up from the table, taking her dishes off to be washed. Once the droids took the dinnerware from her, she returned to Master Wu. There was an eagerness to her as she gave her best smile to the other woman.

"Perhaps I could sit in on some of your lessons? I would hope that someone here would teach me to control the ice that seems to manifest itself around me. My master told me it would be difficult to find a master of such strange arts." In her mind there was no reason not to be open to Master Wu. After all, she did seem to be quite wise. Perhaps she would know where to find a teacher in the ways of the force? Even if not there was much to be studied here on the High Plane. All of that was an exciting concept for the young Sarkhai.

She nodded to her. "Perhaps and training to control ice is possible. The Grandmaster of the silver jedi worked with Shapers to develop their skills as a lesson." She said it and held a hand out as the Hologram projectors around the mess hall formed and showed some of the elemental slayers a lightside offset of the shapers who were trained with the jedi and served the lightside of the force. BEst skills being they could use tutaminis to absorbs other shapers attacks and strengthen themselves in the small demonstrations. "We have the means to help with such training. Though I don't have the skills for it but I know a few of the ones trained.. they are usually out by the lakeside." She offered a smile as the woman was finished with her food. "And you arre welcome, to join me when I do go and talk with some of them... the hope is for them to usually understand diplomatic priorities and at times the greater food in situations."
