Artifacts of any kind called to Justice. History had become a passion of his, well, he did not know when. Just simply knew he discovered it had been while letting his arm heal. It was mostly healed, though from time to time the young Padawan could feel the phantom pains which accompanied the kind of loss he suffered. There were certain occasions where a sharp pain would rush past his neck as he was still adjusting to how the cybernetic fit and blended with the rest of him.

It had seen Justice spend a lot of time in the Jedi Archives. The temple, as the New Jedi Order used, doubled as a ship. It was ingenious. A mobile headquarters was a sound strategic decision. Regardless, Justice had spent days wandering the halls after relocating when a new Master brought him on to study Archeology.

The sound of his boots echoed in the hall until they didn’t. He paused, feeling something of a pull, and yet it repulsed him as well. It was the unmistakable feeling of dark side presence, and the Padawan wondered why he could sense it in a Jedi Temple. He knew there were occasions when dark side artifacts, or ancient Sith items, were brought for study, or to be locked away, but why keep them where their presence could taint a part of the temple?

He had felt it before, and had never questioned it. Today, something was different. The youngest Lesan found his feet carrying him toward the Bogan Collection. He should not have been able to get in, but the path was clear, and the door was open.

“Hello,” he tested as the unanswered echo of his greeting bounced about the room.

No one was there.

Curiosity got the better of him, and without ceremony, Justice slipped past the door and began to wander the room. Nothing drew his attention, not at first. Most of his mind was filled with a sense of wonder and dread as he took in the sheer amount of items locked away. Part of him wanted to handle the artifacts, but he knew better, that much at least. Justice would not have known where to start, at least not until his eyes landed on a set of tablets. He could not make much out, but what he did had his skin crawling.

Why would a dark side artifact include Tython?

He turned to leave quickly, but the sound of footsteps coming toward his direction made him freeze. Quickly he ducked behind something to hide.

Oh he was going to be in so much trouble when he got caught.

Kara still wasn’t sure if she was officially inducted into the Jedi, but at the very least people weren’t stopping her from exploring now. Mostly anyway, she had since somehow managed to find herself treading the boundaries of one or two restricted areas. Fortunately, there was no more wrinkly old Masters to direct her away and back to boredom. Just several security measures to keep her out.

Since arriving on the Prosperity, Kara had spent the majority of her time exploring. If there was going to be her home for the foreseeable future, then it was probably smart to become familiar with it. Plus Kieran had suggested a little exploration of the ship could help open up her Force connection some more.

Right now it was like opening a water valve. Turn that dial and a torrent would be unleashed.

It took a great deal of effort, but Kara was able to close it back up. However, it was clearly going to be an issue that needed addressing before she could properly dive into her training. Thus she set upon exploring, following the slightest pulls that lingered at the edges of her mind.

She was told to follow them, but not too closely. There were certain items aboard the ship that were deliberate in their attempts to lure people in. Which boy, was that the wrong thing to tell Kara. Someone who was extremely curious, and equally naive about the Force still.

Her latest little adventure took her down a familiar route, one she had taken the other day. Only it had stopped at a deadend, with one of those pesky locked doors to whatever secrets were hidden behind. However, as Kara walked that path today, she found the door was unlocked.

Well that’s strange, did someone leave it open?” And yet Kara didn’t put much thought to something being potentially awry with the situation. She just strode right in, immediately letting out a whistle.

Okay, this is…a lot of stuff.

Okay, that was a different voice. In fact, Justice did not recognize it at all. Most of the masters, or other Jedi, that hung around the archives and vaults were all familiar to Just by this point. She was new. He took a quick peek around the corner to see if his hunch was correct, and quickly determined that she was indeed someone he had never seen before.

“Pretty…”

Justice quickly pushed that thought down. He was still a twenty year old man with mostly working parts, if his mechanical arm was taken into account. The padawan was bound to notice. His eyes rolled slightly at the couple of voices in his head. Just was not crazy, he could just imagine how a couple of his friends would be giving him a hard time if they knew.

“It is a lot of stuff, and uh… we really are not supposed to be here,” his voice finally found itself as he rounded out from behind where he had been hiding. “So I won’t tell if you don’t?

It was a test, a question he hoped would be answered in a satisfactory manor. To further his altruism, Justice extended a hand by way of introduction. Unfortunately out of habit it was his mechanical arm which was still exposed. Justice still had opted to not cover it in synthfelsh.

“I am Justice… Archeology is kinda my thing, so I am pretty sure I could tell you most of what is in here if you’re curious.”

Olive branch offered. Would she take it?

Her hand immediately snapped to her hip, instinct drawing her to where her blaster pistol was. Or rather would’ve been if it was still at her side. Kara mentally cursed as she was once more reminded that it had been confiscated. Taken by the local authorities and left forgotten when the Jedi had brought her to the Prosperity.

One day she’d remember to return and reclaim it. But for now, her thoughts turned to the person who spoke.

Kara paused, blinking with a slight tilt to her head as she took in the young man. If she hadn’t already encountered a couple of the older, wizened Jedi, she would’ve started assuming someone was playing a prank on her.

Why the hell is everyone attractive?

Sure, so far the amount of Jedi she had interacted with could be listed on a single hand. But this was a far cry from the Jedi Order she had in her preconceived thoughts.

Kara made a note of the metal arm, which in itself likely held a story to it. Atleast, the young man didn’t strike her as another boring Modder. She reached out and shook it without hesitation.

Nice to meet you Justice, I’m Kara.” There was a joke immediately at the tip of her tongue, a Jedi called Justice? But she refrained, and instead looked around at the impressive collection of knowledge. “Right, yeah I could probably do with some help. This is the uh…” Kara paused as she tried to recall the name. “The ‘Bogan Collection’?

Well firstly, what the hell is a Bogan?
