Aspiring Jedi
I've always thought of the Stealth skills as one of three types (thinking on a practical level):
Photokinetic Cloaking: put simply, using telekinetic capability to bend light around you, rendering you invisible to the naked eye, usually achieved by creating a bubble or field around yourself designed to achieve this effect. This would be the most obvious way to fool everyone (and also the simplest), and would naturally include being concealed from Cameras, Droids etc, because there's no physical distortion to detect with the naked eye. However, it only bends light, so you'd still be detectable by sound or via something like thermal imaging, which the field would not be able to restrain.
Mind Trick: Wouldn't work on Droids or Cameras, but would eliminate the downsides of Photokinetic Cloaking provided the user is suitably proficient in the technique. The only trouble with the Mind Trick is that you have to be able to project the reality that you want the other being to perceive, and that means that you actively have to cloak your physical presence, but also any consequences of it (e.g. heat and sound). More advanced than Photokinetic Cloaking, but harder to achieve. Do also remember that some species are immune to these abilities, so it's a dangerous technique to use.
Illusion: Able to fool essentially everything, an illusion is an external manifestation of Force technique, and doesn't entirely require any fooling around with an individual's mind. You're not bending light so much as simply projecting a reality different to the one that actually exists, using the Force to quite literally show others precisely what you want them to see, on a higher level than the Mind Trick. Works on Droids, Cameras and Sentient Beings, but requires significant amounts of concentration and qualifies as a rare Master-level ability, due to the simple fact that it requires discipline, mental flexibility and a heck of a lot of energy to maintain. You certainly couldn't do much else other than move around while maintaining a cloaking illusion, and it would be draining even so.
If I had to guess, @[member="Zaiden"], I'd say you learned Photokinetic Cloaking, which is useful, but weak against any forms of non-light-based scanning. Anyone with a basic set of thermal imaging scanners would pick you up right away, provided they thought to look for you.
