Force-Imbued Weapons

So I've been looking around the Factory part of the forums cause I've yet to do anything in them, and on top of that I stumbled upon Force-imbued blades. Now from my understanding to make items I need Dev threads, and with this:

I plan to actually make a couple. By a couple I mean having the character first figure out how to even do it, a thread for each item, many failures on actually making the blade and all that fun stuff.

But I'm not sure how I would go about making these weapons. I'm not sure how Dev. threads work, how to set up the item, and even how to find the information (A holocron from the Je'daii seems like a good start, but I'm not too sure.) So I'm looking for some help to do this. Mostly cause I do love smithing rp (Krest was once a Blood Elf on WoW and a master smith. I can't get the elf, but I'd like to work for the smith).

It's a lost force ability through history. Nobody has one because the site is way to far in the future for someone to remember how to make one, and it is lost tech. so I doubt that even if you do make one, that it will even be approved. It's something that hasn't been done in a long, long time. Most people IC wouldn't even know the process exists, much less how to figure it out. Your best bet would be to have gone through Jedi Holocrons, but I'm not quite sure where they went after Velok and I raided Tython and took their holocrons(Ask @[member="Lord Dissero"], he'd be the best bet on where they are now) .The information you want may or may not be in circulation right now, and if it is it'd be rare. There was Je'daii faction that some characters who might have made those blades though, not sure if any of them are still around.

The process itself would take a little while. You'd need to figure an IC reason for figuring out the possibility of it, then you'd need to RP the creation of the weapon itself, which would entangle a thread, as the process is noted to be lengthy and difficult. 2-3ish dev threads would be logical.

Ultimately though, the Force Imbued Blades aren't really that great except for the novelty of having a glowing sword. They're noted to effortlessly cut through anything up to, but not including durasteel. 90% of the armor of this board is durasteel or better, and durasteel is literally used in -everything-, whether it be doors, ships, armor, plates, etc.

From what I was told by a Factory Judge is that it's been done before and is allowed. If a judge says I can't, then I'll look into the Sith Sword, but for now I'll still be looking into the smithing (I've always preferred smithin >.>)

I have every intention of putting in the work needed to make the blade. I really do love smith rp. But I will figure out a reason. Very determined I am.

Je'Daii are long gone. It was disbanded because so many of the characters did not follow up.

I said that it might not be approved because I tried to make one once, and it was denied. So maybe you have a better chance than I do.

My alt @[member="Sno Wyte"] is adept in the technique. Originally I was going to have her make an enhanced weapon, then the purge happened and I lost all muse for my alts. So I guess if you like we can rejuvenate the ability

Its all about Roleplaying it though. You don't have to LEARN the force skill from anything, its entirely possibly that your character naturally discovers the ability to make them. Or rather re-discovers it through roleplay. After all someone had to discover the skill in the first place, who says you can't re-discover it for yourself?

And @[member="Penumbra"] I'd actually be really into that. If there's one thing I love more then smith rp its giving another person a reason to RP a character and rekindle the spark to play them. ^^

Remember you sold 50% of the company in the Great Holocron Auction? I got a third of that, along with a third of everything else that went through there. The name is not publically known as that, but you should do some OOC research into what all of the effects of that were.

Facepalm. Forgot about that. Lol yeah, Penumbra NEVER filed reports of any kind, as it all belonged to him so he figured everyone else would correlate around that. But Sno is meticulous, as well she knows the resources are not in her name. So I'll make sure to file that report before I get to it. *salute* @[member="Valik"]
