Force Power Guide - Faction Feedback

I was planning to utilize Essence Transfer at the later time during my studies as a Master, after lots of rps doing research and experimentation, would this be possible?

If you've RP'ed the crap out of it and/or found someone to teach you, absolutely. It's not something we're enforcing of course -- just guidelines, good ideas.

It's great! Might want to add in something about not Starkillering star destroyers :p

The guideline against creative telekinesis kinda hurts, but I'll live with it. I find the Force Lightning caveat particular interesting, because you listed it as a 'master level' power when it's essentially been a staple of Sith hood. Personally I will still use it and make sure I describe it in a way that denotes it as non-lethal and only painful, but it will be interesting to see how everyone else uses it. Overall this is great, and I don't see any problems with it, although I'll be PMing you with a few specific questions when I have some time. Thanks for putting some effort in there.

If it helps, Valik, overpowered telekinesis has always been an issue. Go with your gut. And Lightning, full Lightning, really is a Master- or Knight-level power, but it's totally plausible for apprentices to be able to use it in limited ways. Some boards (TGC, SWFans) have had hard limits on anyone other than a Master using it, and we don't feel that's accurate. It also lends itself to players nitpicking each other pretty hard. It's a staple, yes, but it's also a mark of powah.

I've made some edits - notably in alchemy, lightning and beastmastery, courtesy of a rather comprehensive PM from Valik. Thanks for that.

Also, I'll be doing one of these for lightsabre styles.

Perhaps a list of saber techniques and what should be appropriate per rank. Wouldnt want a apprentice running around fighting like a beast with Juyo.

If you'd like, I can seriously expand the lightsaber section; I've got a guide handy that goes into a lot deeper detail on each saber style :)

Thanks for the offer, but there's always Wookieepedia. What I wanted to write was basically just an at-a-glance introduction, as brief as possible. No reason for the new blood to have to slog through the kind of in-depth analysis I personally prefer.

Yeah, you and I both love the more...comprehensive...descriptions, but I'd never seen anyone do an abbreviated, at-a-glance version that was any good. :D
