  • Protected from EMP/Ion Damage.
WEAKNESSES
  • If damaged, it could start a chain reaction that leads to a violent explosion with devastating effects.
DESCRIPTION
The Force-Tech HARC (Hypermatter Amplified Reactor Core) Power Generator is basically a smaller star core. It uses a s superconductor with a fusion chamber and a fission chamber to repeatedly fuse and split hypermatter particles to create massive energy. The power converter converts this energy into useable power for any device from computers to entire planets, though smaller products would really be a waste of potential with the product. The generator has materials that both protect it from EMPs and Ion damage, as well as protecting the user from the radiation produced. The housing is made of Zûtsina Cold Steel, which not only protects the device, but also keeps it cool without needing a dedicated cooling unit. This greatly decreases the amount of space needed, allowing for the smallest size possible for this kind of reactor. Condensed-matter composite keeps the vibrations reduced to not bother anyone who has it installed in a suit of power armor.

In the event that the unit becomes damaged, and a dangerous chain reaction should happen, it will release and emergency expanding foam to try to contain the majority of the inevitable detonation that will occur. The foam is able to absorb vast amounts of thermal and radioactive energy, but it will not be able to contain all of it, resulting in an explosion of approximately 20 meters in diameter. This is enough to destroy a building or ship and will completely fry whatever device it was powering.

It is unknown exactly how long this reactor can run, but it is estimated that it could stay viable for well over a millennium, until the hypermatter particles start to break down.

Just want to note, that when thinking of a weakness for this, I went with what seemed to be the most logical and did math based on the strongest nuclear bomb. I am a little worried it may be a bit over-the-top.

We have some major issues to start with...

If damaged, it could start a chain reaction that leads to a violent explosion with devastating effects reaching approximately 2,650,000 km in diameter.

Converted to 1,646,633.66 miles courtesy of Google
The United States of America is the third-largest country in the world in area behind Russia and Canada. It has a total area of 3,717,792 square miles

It should be noted that the generator should be kept protected as much as possible. Despite its small size, the energy it produces could decimate large cities if damaged. If this happens, anything within 250,000 kilometers will be completely incinerated, another 250,000 kilometers will be affected by radiation so powerful an estimated 50% of the population affected will die within a few hours to several weeks. The air blast will affect approximately 1,875,000 kilometers in diameter of the area, collapsing most residential buildings rupturing eardrums. The entire area within the 2,650,000-kilometer-wide mark will be flooded with ultraviolet radiation, causing third-degree burns that are often painless due to nerves being damaged. This can cause severe scarring or disablement and can require amputation.
So the largest issue is you made the equivalent of the worlds meanest thermal detonator in the palm of your hand. This is currently classified as a Super Weapon and is not allowed. I understand why the Star Core was mentioned, I played Galaxies and know the effects...but at least the buildings were still standing when I fought in the remains of the city. It was estimated to be 5 miles in diameter and right now, that is not even accepted at all.

If you are going to use something this small, the explosion has to be toned down severely. A thermal detonator is a good start but please don't try to blow up a quarter of the United States.

  • Infinite power in a small form.
You are not allowed to have infinite power, please reword this...and be reasonable. Isotope-5 exists for a reason and it even has a lifespan.

  • Production: Limited
Due to how powerful this submission already currently stands, I am requesting it to be lowered to Semi-Unique.

  • Intent: (Example: 'A personal weapon for Darth Scabious' or 'an advanced armored personnel carrier for the Republic')
This is not finished, please finish.

Let me know when this is fixed up. You have a good idea...just overkilled part of a planet.

I thought it seemed too much lol. I hadn't realized I'd made a much more powerful version of the banned quantum bomb lol. Opps. Scary to think how powerful IRL stuff can be.

*Anyway, I added a mixture of foams to materials that could be used to contain a powerful blast and reduce it down to a more manageable level.
*I said it's a nearly infinite energy source, capable of running for at least a millennium (I couldn't find anything on half-lives on wookieepedia, so I don't know if that's reasonable or not.)
*Fixed the intent (How'd I miss that? lol)
*Changed to semi-unique. There are other "virtually limitless" power generators at mass-production on CHAOS, but mine is the smallest, so I'm OK with it being Semi-unique.

Also added Cold Fusion to Primary Sources

I think that covers all the issues.

Yes, there are many but not generally this small nor the ability to destroy most buildings once it explodes. It needs to be reduced primarily on that premise alone. If it is mass produced, imagine the consequences of soldiers dropping dead and each one causing another explosion after another...it is not...not...not fun.

APPROVED!
