WHO ARE THE NEW IMPERIAL ORDER IMPERIAL FORCE CORPS?
Led by their formidable Chiss High Knight Marshal, Zovesa, the Imperial Force Corps, or just Force Corps, are a military arm of the New Imperial Order's (NIO) Armed Forces that commanded solely by Force Users. However, it is not just Force Users. Under their command is an army of Auxilia Infantry and Stormtroopers, Force Sensitive Medics, Surgeons, and Nurses, as well as an entire fleet. As Force Users the Force Corps are known as Force Corps Knights, or by their nickname Grey Cloaks.
Imperial Force Corps Knights are trained to be highly disciplined, well-rounded, and multi-purpose capable shock troops. Unlike the Jedi or the Sith, the Knights are taught the full spectrum of warfare within the military structure of the NIO Military. They are well versed in battlefield tactics, special operations, and mastery in several weapons: unarmed combat, blaster rifles and pistols, demolitions, and lightsabers. This is called Full-Spectrum Warfare. The Knights conduct themselves as soldiers and defenders of the NIO and it's citizens first. They are not religious/tyrannical zealots nor are they pious monks who cling to a morale code, they soldiers, they are Imperial Knights.
The Imperial Force Corps Knights conduct themselves not by some morale code or code of power, they are secular and are governed by a codified set of military laws which have been compiled into an Imperial Force Codex. The Codex covers everything from: Lightsaber maintenance practices, Training, Conduct on the Battlefield, Rules over the Force - including prohibited Force Skills which the Codex deems "Lead to Paths of Instability and Corruption", and Rules of Force Development and Use. This is designed to keep the Imperial Knights from falling to the Darkside or relying on impractical Force Doctrines like those of the Jedi. The Codex is paramount and anyone who deviates from the Codex is placed under Military Tribunal. Should a Knight be deemed "Crestfallen" (i.e. fallen to the Darkside) they are either rehabilitated or executed depending on their trial.
HOW DO THEY RP?
Much like their inspiration, the Imperial Knights of Star Wars Legacy Comics, the Force Corps RP like a mixture of real Medieval Knights and more Militant Neutral Force Users. Like Medieval Knights they have a code of chivalry that they adhere to, as outlined in the Imperial Force Codex. But, unlike the Jedi Knights, they are far more militarized. Force Corps Knights see themselves as Soldiers first, then as Force Users. As such they operate in a very strict manner. But, that doesn't they are cold fighting machines, they all have their struggles. Especially the struggle to enter into combat and not rely on the easier emotions of rage, hate and others that lead to the Darkside - so RPing a Force Corps Knight is an RP of trying to find balance and discipline. Something that even their High Knight Marhsal struggles with constantly.
Progression in the Imperial Force Corps moves a lot like the Jedi but, also very different. The ranks are as follows, from Highest to Lowest Levels: High Knight Marshal (Force Grandmaster), Knights Commander (Force Master), Imperial Knight (Force Knight), Knight Errant (Force Apprentice), and Imperial Page (Force Initiate). All recruits are recruited through a couple of methods: Rescue: One of the missions of the Force Corps is to rescue and liberate Force Sensitives being abducted or pressed into Sith indoctrination; World Recruitment: Some Imperial Knights are sent on Recruitment Missions to other worlds, seeking out Force Sensitives and conducting Force Aptitude Tests. All new recruits begin as Imperial Pages, they are then assigned to an Imperial Knight and are trained by them over a period of time known as "Squireship" - indeed, they become the Squires to the Knights. When they are deemed ready they become Knight Errants and accompany their Imperial Knight mentors on missions and to battlefields. After sometime of service, they are granted the rank of Imperial Knight and are knighted by High Knight Marshal herself in a "Ceremony of Oaths" - where the would-be-knight takes the several oaths of allegiance, duty, and honor. Imperial Knights become Knights Commanders after a long period of service or upon showing extraordinary service in a moment of crisis. As the Imperial Force Corps is always active and on the go, their training, development, and teaching is done aboard their Crusader Fleet and in the field on missions.
OTHER MEMBERS
Being in the Imperial Force Corps isn't just restricted to being a Corps Knight. There is also another very important wing of the Force Corps - the Asklepion. These are Force Sensitive Medics, Surgeons, and Nurses who tend to the wounded soldiers and civilians. They not only tend to physical wounds but, also damages to a person's soul in the Force. They tend to those who have fallen to the Darkside or have been corrupted or mentally hurt. But, do not mistake them for weak reservist contingents. Within the Asklepion is also the Force Hospitalliers - battlefield nurses who charge into battle with the Force Corps Knights assisting them in battle and tending to the soldiers in their ranks and contributing to Battle Meditation and Force healing operations to keep their morale high and strong. [And if I may be selfish here in OOC, I would REALLY FIND IT COOL, if we got some Force Hospitallier characters to join us. Would make for more varied and awesome RP. Especially since no one really properly RP's healers anymore].
