Forest, A Tree, And Two People (Katar)

The sounds of life filled the air. Jake wondered the forests untill he found a delightful shadow made by a huge tree. He sat, and started to tap to a rhythm in his head.

He started to hum a melody and lean his head back against the bark of the tree, Jake was uneasy but the forest helped with his sadness a bit, his leather jacket lay next to him as he drifted off into sleep, he woke up a few hours later, it was mid day and the sub was a bit more dim then it was before.

"Oh hell, what the hell, I mist my way off this planet." He said to himself. He got up and surveyed the area. Ah no one thats great.

Katar sat perched in one of the younger trees. Endor had a beautiful abundance of them, but the adults once were much too large to climb up all the way. The Ewoks were very fond of her, as she was of them. They had graciously allowed her to stay on their hunting territory for a few days. It was more than exciting for her. Her instincts were running wild! She could hear and smell and see and feel EVERYTHING! She felt alive! She even wore a tank top and shorts for a change. There was no reason to had the brands on her skin. She wasn't wearing shoes, either! As a light breeze wove through the branches of her tree, Katar caught the scent of something.... foreign. It smelt like a city. Was there a person here? Curious, she climbed down from her tree and began to follow the smell.

Jake got up and put his jacket on.
"well, I better start walking" Jake said out loud.
He walked as his boots crushed leaves, sticks and anything else.
He thought he was alone, well hopefully he was.

As Katar came closer to the source of the scent, she began to clearly hear someone walking through the underbrush. There footsteps sounded extremely careless. That was dangerous here. Predators were bound to find them if they continued making that much noise. She quickened her pace, her footsteps practically silent. She'd have to catch up to this person, and fast. Who knew what could already be after them...

Jake continued to walk, the forest was empty...completely or thats what he thought. He walked until he found another go8d size tree and sat under it.

"I guess I will rest here." He said before putting his head against the tree trunk.

Katar came to a stop when the footsteps did. Finally, she managed to track down the being attached to the smell. Sitting against the large trunk of a tree was a boy covered in black, sleeping. Katar stared at him. How did he get here? Was he lost? This was not a good place to be if you couldn't protect yourself. He could get into serious trouble later. Especially if he stayed on the forest floor. Cautiously, she crept closer to him. Gently, she reached out and shook him slightly.

Jake jumped up when someone started to shake him, he tripped over a root and fell.

"Who the hell are you? I could have sworn I was alone." Jake said before getting up.

He dusted off his jacket.

"Anyway, what the hell are you doing here?" Jake said.

Katar jumped backward when the boy suddenly sprang up. She got in a semi-defensive position, but didn't see him as much of a threat. She was once again overwhelmed with curiosity. She scratched one of the numerous brands her arms, and slowly walked up to him again. Cautiously she sat on her knees beside him and sniffed around him a bit, as she normally did when she was meeting new people. Yep. This was the mystery scent. A darkly clothed boy. She looked him in the eyes, tilting her head slightly.

"What the heck? You want to tell me why you arent talking to me?" He asked a bit annoyed.

But he did feel less scared now that she sat next t to him.

Katar scratched her head. How do you tell someone you can't exactly talk that well? She thought. She pointed at her throat, and then shrugged and shook her head a bit. She wasn't a complete mute, but talking was a bit difficult for her. She looked at him apologetically.
