Damien chuckled, "Payment. It always comes down to that does it not?" He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he walked a slow circle about the other, until he was near the large sword. Eyeing it closer up, he muttered unintelligible words to himself for a moment then raised his eyes back to Sebastion again.
"I will require an intense offer for something of this caliber. What you seek is no simple trinket. It will be a weapon of great report." Damien murmured, taking a step closer, "I offer something I never do for others: a choice. Lose a hand, legitimately lose a hand at the wrist. Whether it is replaced or not matters little, but the entire hand must come off, and you must do it to yourself.
"Let me consume your memories of a loved one of your choosing is option two. You will need to pick someone of great importance in your life, maybe a parent, a close friend, whatever. Then you will open your mind to me so that I remove these as if they were never there to begin with.
"Last choice being a Rune of Power imprinted upon your body." Damien drew the massive sword on his back to the front and showed the hilt, where an imbedded rune sat, "This Rune, though on my sword bears no use, is the Rune of Power that binds an object specifically to myself. If you choose this option, you will be altered on a cellular level, to be of use to myself. If I command you to do something, it will give you an ingrained urge to obey. With your will, and power, it will not be an adamant objective, yet you will feel compelled to do whatever it is. Accompanying this effect would be a knowing if I am in danger, and a much more powerful urge to come to my aid. But that also goes vice versa; I would to be bound to come to your aid if ever you required it."
With this, Damien stared at the man awaiting his decision. The loss of a limb, though it could be replaced, always changed motor functions and the like. It would never be properly replaced. With memories stolen, the man he is, would be changed forever. Things that helped him to be himself, would be removed, and the result could not be foreseen.
In Damien's opinion, the best option if he were faced with it was the loss of a hand or the Rune. A Master Force User could fight any compulsion to an extent, even if it effected ones mind at a constant rate. Damien himself felt no fear of the same situation, as he was a Mentalist at heart, and so couldn't be controlled. He did not know of Sebastion though, unless he was a true mentalist, he would find it dominated his urges some times.
"If you choose binding yourself to me, do not fear that I will treat you as a slave. That is not the case. I have used the Rune on a few others, with the intent of making allies that could come to my help when I need it."
