Forging the Bonds of War (Lord Ajihad v. Viktoria Kess)

Lothal
star-wars-rebels-droids-in-distress-lothal-shot.jpg
It was quite a scenic planet, mostly hidden by its remote location in the far Outer Rim. The pollution left in its environment by the Galactic Empire had long since disappeared, the blue skies and slight breeze making for a rather pleasant atmosphere. The scenic view made for the impression it was quite a peaceful place. However, the natives knew better than that.
Lothal was a planet recently claimed by the forces of the Galactic Alliance. It was right near their border with the First Order, actually rather close to the enemy capital of Dosuun. This made tensions rather high among the locals, as they feared surprise attacks by the First Order could spring at any moment. It wasn't the most pleasant place in the galaxy at the moment.
In a crummy run-down market in South Lothal, there was a bit of commotion as a pair of figures seemed to be bothering an elderly Ithorian shopkeeper. To most bystanders, it would seem like just a little scuffle between policemen and some sleazy alien trying to cheat someone out of their credits. In reality, it was a bit more than that.
The shopkeeper was actually the father of a spy for the Sith Order. The spy had recently gone AWOL, suspected to be en route to defect to the Silver Sanctum Coalition. The Sith had dispatched a team to capture her elderly father who would hopefully lure her out of hiding. A squad of Marines in civilian attire had been tasked with this low-risk job.
One of the two crimson-clad figures grabbed the alien by his collar over the counter of his market stall. As the creature droned in panic, the police seemingly turned a blind eye as one of the Marines bashed the Ithorian's head with the butt of his rifle. The pair would cuff the bloodied creature and began to drag him off to a waiting transportation vessel at a rented landing platform.
It seemed all hope was lost for the poor alien...

Viktoria Kess was out in the market today. Jakkor needed things for the farm, the girls needed more snacks and groceries were needed. They had enough on the farm to last them, but they still needed these things. Luckily Viktoria and Jakkor had moved their family outside of the capitol area, so they didn't have to deal with the First Order, but they still got visitors on occasion.

Viktoria saw something that caught her eye in one shop, so she decided to head towards it to see what was there, but then something else caught her eye. Two men were harassing an elderly shopkeeper. She had to get involved. It was her instinct. Luckily at least realizing what trouble was on Lothal, she kept her lightsabers and blasters with her at all times when she was out. She wore a simple outfit that hid her weapons, but it was still an outfit that worked with her fighting style if need be. Her hair was pulled back simply, but it was at least out of the way.

Luckily her droid was with her as well, so he was able to help her as he usually did when looking after the girls or assisting her on grocery and other supply runs. Handing her grocery bags to the droid, she decided that she couldn't watch this scene any further.

"Here.. take these and get back home quickly. Tell Jak that I got a little busy in town."

she said. With that, the droid obeyed, which was unusual and headed home. Usually he would object for her protection, but he seemed to understand this time and immediately went home. After watching the droid, she turned back to the scene to find the alien now cuffed as they waited for a transport. Viktoria took this time to help release the poor creature. Walking up to one of the men, he patted him on the shoulder, catching his attention.

"Excuse me, but what are you doing with this Ithorian?"

she asked as she then placed her hands on her hips, awaiting his response.

As the duo hauled the Ithorian's half-conscious body across the counter, a seemingly concerned citizen would approach them to inquire about their actions.

Viktoria Kess said:
"Excuse me, but what are you doing with this Ithorian?"
One of the Marines grunted as he paused in place. There always had to be one civilian that insisted on impeding the task at hand. The man whom she had tapped wheeled around in surprise, his expression changing from one of confusion to annoyance in a matter of seconds. Hopefully this woman didn't hold them up for long, he didn't want to get charged overtime for the landing pad rental.
"This scum is being arrested for misdemeanor fraud. And unless you want to face an obstruction charge, I'd advise you move out of our way." The alien tried to croak in protest, but was swiftly met with the butt of a rifle to the back of the head from the other trooper. This time the Ithorian was out cold, his unconscious head hanging low as they began moving forward again. The less time spent talking, the better.

As one of the two men responded, Viktoria kept her hands placed on her hips, right near her lightsabers. They obviously couldn't see them, but they were hooked to her belt underneath her coat and her blasters were attached to her hips in holsters. With her hands being where they were, her weapons would be slightly outlined, but wouldn't exactly be able to be seen by the two men unless they knew what lightsabers looked like under a coat.

When she caught his attention, she could tell he had a mixture of surprise, annoyance and confusion. Though the confusion didn't last for too long. Viktoria wasn't afraid of these guys as she could easily take them on, so when they said something about an "obstruction charge", she scoffed.

"An obstruction charge? Really? I'm not impressed. What was his "misdemeanor fraud" that you speak of?"

she responded, showing them that she truly wasn't. The alien then tried protesting, but he was immediately met with the base of the man's gun to his head. That was enough for her.

"Release him. This moment."

she said, putting her hands almost directly on her lightsabers, now sort of showing them that she was armed.

The man holding the unconscious alien sighed. It had been rather foolish to think the simple track-and-apprehend mission could have gone so smoothly. It seemed they were having a bad day. Heck, knowing their luck, she would probably turn out to be a Jedi or something...
He would drop the alien and set his rifle to 'stun'. He would raise it level with her in a menacing fashion. This was her final warning: back off or be apprehended.
The other Marine would opt to draw his vibrosword, turning around and nodding to one of the local beat cops watching the incident unfold. Their commander had certainly paid the local police chief well enough to make sure their operation went smoothly, so it was only to be expected that the officer would draw his handcuffs and begin walking over to their position.
He would turn back to the woman who was so openly questioning their apprehension of the Ithorian traitor. "Look, this is your last chance. Leave now or you will be apprehended on charges of obstruction of justice." His eyes fell to her waist as she moved her hands to where her weapons would likely be holstered. This was getting out of hand quickly, and they had orders not to cause a scene unless absolutely necessary. He was pretty sure gunning down a concerned citizen in the middle of the street without provocation would be considered quite the scene, something his commander certainly did not want to happen.

In their luck.. Viktoria was a Jedi. That was yet to be exposed to them though. She watched as he let go of the Ithorian and then did something with his blaster, pointing it right at her in a very quick and intense way. Viktoria still didn't move. She held her ground and that's the way it was going to be. Viktoria would make her move soon, but she'd wait till the very last second and surprise everybody.

Viktoria watched as the other man pulled out his vibrosword as his weapon of choice. He could be good, but she had fought many different styles and practices of battle and this would just be another one to add onto the list. Further back, a police man stood at the ready and as soon as he was given the signal, he pulled out his handcuffs and made his way towards the trio on edge. Her eyes then met with the same man as she still stood her ground. She had seen some crazy stuff and this was just another battle like she had when she was young.

"I don't think any of the above is happening."

she responded. This was going to get interesting and she took this as the moments before the last moment to draw. As soon as she finished speaking, she undid her jacket and pulled it back, revealing her two blasters and lightsabers. After pulling her jacket back, she then placed her hands back on her hips, under the jacket.

Both Marines' eyes widened as they saw the lightsabers. The local cop began to nervously back up. He was just a regular guy who had never seen an ignited light sword before in his life. He didn't care if the chief fired him, he wasn't going to mess with any Jedi. He assumed a fight was about about to break out and he didn't want anything to do with it.
The Marines, on the other hand, were a little more used to the sight of a hostile force wielder. They were trained to fight force users, and they had killed a couple Jedi in their own right under the command of Ajihad. However, they were well-aware they didn't exactly have the advantage in this situation. This would call for immediate and swift response.
The first trooper immediately fired a set of stun rounds at her chest. Hopefully, at short range and by surprise, she wouldn't have time to avoid the attack before being brought down. The second man brought his sword into a defensive position, preparing for a possible attack by the lightside warrior.

As soon as Viktoria revealed her lightsabers, both marines were stunned. Their eyes widened once they saw them, including the cop who just a minute ago seemed to be acting big and orderly, coming to arrest someone who started an argument and wouldn't stand down. When the lightsabers came out though, everything changed. The two men were surprised and she seemed to have scared off the cop as he backed away from the scene. His fear was evident through the force.

Viktoria watched closely and then drew her sabers as the one marine started firing stun blasts at her. She immediately blocked them with her sabers rhythmically and then prepared herself as the man with the sword stood at the ready for an attack. Jedi never attacked first, but Viktoria took advantage of this and leaped forward.

As she leaped, Viktoria took her right saber and slashed at the man with the stun blaster, towards his head, but if he was aware and ducked quickly, it would miss. The man with the blade, she took a strike from her right shoulder, to the left side of his waist and landed, spinning counterclockwise and took both sabers, trying to sever his head from his neck with her left saber and at the waist with her right hand saber.

The marine with the rifle would stumble back as his attack obviously failed in its attempt to render the Jedi unconscious. He would fall backwards, luckily causing the lightsaber blade to miss his face by mere inches. He landed flat on his back, groaning as he reached for the rifle several feet from him. This looked to be quite the bad day.
The other marine had a second more to prepare as the Jedi attacked his ally. He was able to block the shot at his waist, all the while doing his best not to get decapitated. He somewhat managed to duck the block, though he still wouldn't be able to avoid it completely. The stench of burning flesh would fill the air as the blade cut into the man's head. He fell to the street unmoving, it was unclear whether he was unconscious or dead. Either way, he would not be rejoining the fight.
As the Jedi would look back towards the soldier with the blaster, the air would suddenly fill with the smell of ozone. The area would brighten as an arc of blue lightning would streak towards the Jedi, seeking to bond with her skin and send her flying across the square. The source of the anomaly was a dark-clad figure crouched in the open window of a nearby house. Unseen, he had watched the events unfold from his vantage point high above. It was now that he chose to intervene on behalf of his men. It was Lord Ajihad, the Godmaker and the Demon's Fist. The Wrath of Sargon, the Shadow of Conquest.
And he was on the hunt.

One point for Viktoria. So far, she had this fight under control and she felt good. It had been a few years since she'd had a good fight. Watching in satisfaction, the marine with he rifle, fell backwards onto his back, losing his blaster. Thinking quickly Viktoria grabbed it through the force and sent the blaster flying further than he could reach for that moment.

With that she looked at him, smirked and gave a short quick nod, before turning to the other marine with a blade. As she made a strike for his waist, he blocked it and the strike towards his head, he ducked instead of dodged and his head got caught in the middle of it. Viktoria could feel the contact between the man's head and her blade, still seeing it all happen at the same time. The stench of burning skin came over her senses and turned her stomach slightly, as it reminded her of her past.

Assuming the man was dead, considering the blow was strong enough to go threw his skull, she could almost guarantee he was dead. After that marine dropped, she looked back to the previous one and all of a sudden, Viktoria got chills.. something wasn't right. The area lit up quick as lightning shot it's way towards Viktoria who couldn't react quick enough. The lightning strike collided with Viktoria's body and she flew back a few feet, slamming into the wall of a nearby ship.

Viktoria had been sent nearly halfway across the square. When she collided with the wall, she blaced out for a second seeing a black cloaked figure, being the source of which the lightning had come from.

Multiple screams erupted across the square as the young woman was sent flying by the burst of powerful lightning. Civilians and police alike fled from the square as they rushed to avoid the imminent carnage that would be left in the wake of the Sith Lord. In less than a minute the area was virtually silent as the locals had all either sped off or barred themselves inside.
The Marine would pick himself up off the ground, almost feeling sorry for the woman that had nearly just killed him. His companion still laid on the ground unmoving, presumed dead. He dragged the prisoner out of harm's way, guarding him with one eye while the other was trained on the pair of warriors before him. You certainly didn't get to see something like this every day.
As Viktoria sat stunned at the base of the ship, smoke lazily drifting up from her smoldering skin, the assassin's cybernetic eye would zoom in on her head. The device's facial recognitions program scanned her, and her profile from the Black Sun database would pop up immediately. She was a Jedi, though he had already figured that out from her cyan lightsabers. However, it seemed that she was no ordinary Jedi. She was an affiliate of the Silver Sanctum Coalition, enemy of the Sith Order.
He leapt down from the open window, his feet making no noise as he landed gracefully like a cat. He slowly walked toward her, extending a gloved hand as he did so. She would feel a very tight telekinetic grip close around her throat as it fought to drag her up the side of the ship and leave her dangling.
This fight might be over before it even begins...

Viktoria could hear the fearful screams over the lightning as she slammed into the side of the ship. The lightning had taken quite a toll on her and smoke rose from her body. But she sensed something. Something stronger than what she had dealt with in a long time. When she came back from her miniature vision, she looked up to see the square that had cleared out rather quickly. It definitely didn't take people very long to move out of the way when someone was being shot at by lightning.

Gaining a cleared vision once more, Viktoria could see the one marine she nearly killed and the other on the ground. She had not forgotten about the prisoner she was going to rescue, but it seemed as if she managed to become one herself. It wasn't guaranteed yet, but Viktoria took a guess that she was done for in this round. She looked to the man again.. this was definitely not something the average human being saw everyday. This would be quite the show for the man and others who may have been watching.

As the man jumped from a window and landed on the ground, not a sound could be heard from him. While he was scanning her, Viktoria made weak attempts to stand up with any of the strength she had left. Thinking about it this was the same man she had seen in the quick flashback when she was thrown into the ship by the lightning bolt. Then all of a sudden, she was broken from her thoughts as her throat tightened and the man started walking closer to her with his hand extended into the air as she seemed to move up the side of the ship, now hanging a few feet in the air.

Viktoria struggled in his grasp, but still waited to see what would happen. She still had hope and wasn't losing it yet.

The Demon's Fist would continue his approach until he stood just a couple feet from the Jedi. His hand would open, his somewhat cupped palm moving just inches away from her forehead. She would feel the grip on her throat relax even as she remained hovering above the ground.
Though half of his face was concealed behind the cloth of a balaclava, she would now be able to see some of his features from a closer point of view. His face looked rather quite young, maybe even in his late twenties. However, his gaze carried a much different message. His unearthly golden eyes carried a sense of timelessness, as if though he could have been anywhere from thirty to two-hundred. It was a very unsettling look, though somewhat beautiful all the same.
After a second of silence, he would muster his concentration to try to blast into her mind. He had always been a talented mentalist as a child, though he hadn't pursued all that much training in it during his time as an acolyte with the One Sith. The complex labyrinth of his thoughts would slam into her mind with hopefully enough force to let him in. He didn't want to hurt her, as she could prove to be a valuable asset to him yet. The purpose of the mental assault was simply to render her unconscious without doing much physical harm to her.

Viktoria's heart almost skipped a beat. Darkness came off the man in waves as he came closer and closer. She felt as if she was drowning in a black sea of water as he grew closer. Viktoria watched as he opened his hand almost as if he was going to use the mind trick, but at the same time, she stayed mid-air, but she found that he had let up on his grip, letting her breathe a bit.

Viktoria could tell from far back that his face was covered, but as he came closer, she could see that he still had part of it showing. He seemed to obviously be a little bit younger than Viktoria. He had golden eyes, which was pretty rare for Viktoria. They were beautiful and looking right into them, they had a story that was yet to be told. But they were interesting.. they reminded her of her husband's eyes.. he had been preserved for 800 years before he met Viktoria.. maybe this dude had gone through something similar?

It was silent for a few moments. It was a silence that gave her chills. Then all of a sudden, she felt like what was a freight train trying to burrow into her mind. Closing her eyes, he only got part way before she started fighting back.

"Get out.. of my head.."

she told him through clenched teeth. Viktoria fought against him as he kept trying to go further into her mind, but it only lasted for about two minutes until she passed out from too much tension and stress.

As the young girl crumpled to the ground, Ajihad lightly caught her before she fell and hurt herself. He gently moved his forefinger to her neck, checking for a pulse to ensure he had not killed her. He was pleased to find that her heart was still beating, as he had no desire to end the young Jedi just yet. A member of of Silver Jedi could prove to be a valuable asset to him indeed. The real challenge would be ensuring that the Primeval didn't tear her limb from limb in a bloodthirsty fervor.
In a single fluid motion he would haul her over his shoulder. The assassin was quite a bit stronger than he looked, a result of the enhanced body provided to him by the Nightsisters on Dathomir. Everyone else had fled the scene, leaving him an apt amount of time to escape. The last thing he wanted right now was a run-in with the Galactic Alliance. He broke out in a jog down the street, headed for the docks in which his men had landed their ships.
He strode into the little hangar, a few of his men sitting on some overturned crates that had been left there by the maintenance crews. He set the Jedi down next to a few plainclothes soldiers waiting to depart. "Carbon-freeze her and take her to Wayland. Put her in a cell there until otherwise instructed."
The men responded with a clamor of "Yes-sir" as they got up and began to carry the woman away. The assassin himself would begin walking over to the far side of the hangar where his own ship was docked. It was time to deal with a few more... pressing matters.
