OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To add an important base for the Sith Warlords on one of their staring worlds | To add a primary base of operations for Kascalion outside of Credence
  • Image Credit: X | The Second Link for the Guardian of the Beast Stockade can be found in this book and the closest I could find to a true art credit besides that is here.
  • Canon: N/A

  • Links: Warlords of the Sith, Weken
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Military Base Name: Fortress Ing Sedisĥ
  • Classification: Militarized Sith Fortress
  • Location: Weken
  • Affiliation: Warlords of the Sith
  • Population: Sparse - Limited to occupation by the Sith High Lords, Warlords [Masters/Darths], as well as their special retinue of slaves, Ing Sedisĥ is lightly populated. On most days, the dreaded fortress is empty save for the latter who tend to the faculties and non-Sith systems needed to keep it running.
  • Demographics: While the Sith who inhabit this Fortress control it with an iron fist, their numbers are exceedingly low compared to their slaves, who outnumber them four to one. Many of these slaves are native to the Tingel Arm, from exotic to common, peace-loving to martial psychopaths. Regardless of their cultural values, personas, and capabilities, they all share one thing in common: enslavement by the Sith.
  • Accessibility: Not only is the fortress located in a nearly undetectable portion of the planet's northern hemisphere, but the mere path to get there should it be discovered is near impossible to traverse. With Weken's toxic atmosphere, dangerous terrain, and wild Sithspawn set loose by the Warlords to guard the planet, the fortress is indeed one of the more defended locations in the Tingel Arm.
  • Description: An incredibly large and magnificently sinful fortress located in a hidden part of Weken, Ing Sedisĥ is a mystery even to the Sith. This is partly because of its obscure construction and lack of true knowledge on why certain parts of it are the way they are, such as the Temple.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Outside:
    • The Virulent Route: Located 61 kilometers away from the gates of the fortress is a barely visible flat patch of earth whereon the shuttles transporting the Sith may land. From there, the visitors must traverse - on foot - a long, winding path laced with alchemized statues prepared to assault any who is deemed unworthy of the fortress. Additionally treacherous for this path is the falsehoods it sets. Curiously, Weken's toxic atmosphere is not present for the duration of this path and instead lines it like thick green shifting walls. Due to the winding, treacherous nature of the terrain and the ever-present doom of the guardian statues, the chances of misstepping and falling to a choking demise is absolutely possible - if not guaranteed for most.
    • The Fanged Maw: The primary entrance into the fortress, the Fanged Maw was constructed to resemble a massive skull with a gaping maw. Running down the distended jawbones of the gate is a series of ancient runes of power and protection, owing to the alchemization of the fortress to defend against invaders.
    • The Two Towers: Defending the Fanged Maw, these dual spires are outfitted with a great deal of automated weaponry - both technological and sorcerous. From lightning conduits at the peaks to encircling blaster turrets, the Two Towers are the perfect first line of defense for any who manage to traverse the Virulent Route.
  • Inside:
    • Courtyard of Passion: The main yard of the fortress, this is where most informal meetings and discussions between the Sith and their slaves occur, as well as where exhibitions of power are performed. A number of other events and ceremonies are also held here, from knightings to even weddings between Sith - and sometimes their companions as well.
    • The Flesh Cleansing: Unnecessarily named with the grimmest and edgiest name the constructor of this fortress could conceive, the Flesh Cleansingly is a bathhouse for the visiting Sith. However, it is unique in the sense that it is perhaps the only location in this sector of space that such a Dark Sider could feel any semblance of calm. Possibly because of this very reason, the bathhouse is ignored by most.
    • Sith Sleeping Chambers: Intended to resemble infernal cathedrals, the Sith Sleeping Chambers are massive constructs inside the walls of the Fortress with gilded banners and brass floors. The guardians of these Chambers are said to be perfected replicants of the statues that oversee the pathway to this fortress, with an absurd connection to the Dark Side of the Force despite being animated non-sentient constructs.
    • The Temple of Gatherings: At the furthest end of the fortress on the opposite side of the Fanged Maw lies a temple with an internal design that defies the simple sane logic of its exterior and drove many of the slaves used in its development mad. Merely writing down notes on its construction has thus far proven impossible and navigating this illogical and deranged construction is nigh inconceivable for the weak-willed and even the strong-hearted. Only with the use of a blind guide whose sanity had been restored and given the capabilities of conjuring a dark meditation for her subjects may traversing this hellish creation be possible. Once this has been done, any surviving Sith are granted a reprieve and allowed to conduct the most heinous of rituals empowered by the Temple's darkest secrets of power and evil sources. The success of these rituals is almost guaranteed as if the Temple is controlled by some malevolent thing that entices further attempts at damnation. The Temple's creator - Kascalion Giedfield - has strangely expressed confusion on why this is and even admits that he does not know why the building was made in the way that it is. In fact, he is not entirely sure how it was made, to begin with, yet like all in the Warlords, refuses to ignore the pull of the Temple.
      • The Dark Arsenal: A collection of relics in a golden chest at the rear of the temple's unimaginable geometry. None have ever been able to open said chest, and yet, the knowledge of what lies within is universal - even for those who had yet to even learn of it until first seeing it. Curiously, while knowing that relics do lie in there, the exact relics in question are what does not appear to universal. In fact, it would seem that it is a differing collection for each individual Sith. The reasons for this are unknown. Even more curious - and disturbing - is that the Fortress' constructor - Kascalion Giedfield - has expressed time and time again that he had no prior knowledge of this chest ever-existing nor did he approve of it being placed inside the Temple. Yet another mystery for this most inauspicious of locations.
  • Under:
    • Garden of Serfdom: The housing and amenities of the slaves, the Garden of Serfdom is rancid, to say the least, and offers only the bare necessities to ensure that the fortress never sees its eternal occupants perish whenever the Sith are absent. From public bathing, toilets, sleeping arrangements, and eating halls, the Garden of Serfdom is a horrible place to visit and a worse place to live in.
    • The Beast Stockade: Guarded by a monstrous beast that appears to be a mix of a slug, Rancor, and crustacean, the Beast Stockade holds a large amount of Sithspawn and general ravenous creatures. All manner of disastrous living calamities occupies these horrid pens, awaiting the day they are to be fed or released by their masters. The guardian itself is of an unknown origin, and may in fact be a completely new creation by the Warlords, although only one of its kind has ever been seen. Its capabilities in combat are also unknown and it is regularly fed slaves or even P.O.W.s who disappoint/anger their Masters.
    • The Arena: A square stage set next to the Garden of Serfdom, the Arena is where the Sith test their slaves in bouts of combat against each other or against the Sith themselves. The latter event is essentially an execution meant to bolster the ego of the executioner and instill further fear into the harrowed subjects. Such quantities of blood have been spilled in this place that the wooden panels have been stained crimson and are perpetually slick with gore, and other manners of vileness.
    • Gateway to Ascension: Perhaps the darkest secret of the Fortress next to the Temple, the Gateway to Ascension is a rift into the Netherworld - purposefully designed in the most stable of ways by Kascalion Giedfield at the cost of countless lives and at heavy risk to his own health. Where this rift leads to exactly is unknown as none save for its creator and his closest allies have ever traveled through it. Some believe that it leads to a paradise that no mortal could ever dream of, while others believe it leads to the abyss where all Sith have spawned from. Either way, each trip has resulted in a visible change in the travelers and an increase in knowledge and power within the Force.
SECURITY
  • Maximum:
    • Weken's Very Atmosphere: Weken is a notoriously toxic environment with very few pockets of breathable oxygen, and as such, it is rarely visited by anyone, save the Sith. Naturally, this is perhaps the best initial defense the fortress has as it does not have to worry about consistent assaults.
    • Alchemized Construct: The stone and metal used to build this fortress were heavily alchemized to resist physical damage against ground units and even aerial units, thus allowing those within to remain stalwart and properly mount defensive formations and tactics.
    • Environmental Shield: To prevent the toxic atmosphere from destroying the purpose of the fortress and killing all those inside, its creator installed an environmental shield to produce a healthy Type-1 atmosphere throughout. This allows everyone within to operate at peak efficiency without being hampered by environmental suits or other equipment.
    • Route and Fortress Statues: Further creations of the Warlords and acting as the primary ground unit defenders, these Sith Statues are armed with a number of vibroweapons, some even lightsabers. While not indestructible, they are highly resistant to damage much like the fortress itself, and require a great deal of effort to defeat when unified in a defensive legion.
    • Indoctrinated Slaves: If pushed against the wall, the Sith will summon the fortress slaves to fight in the defense, which they will "willingly" do with cleavers, knives, and swarm tactics.
    • Automated Turrets: Beyond those situated in the Two Towers, the fortress is armed with a series of automated turrets to defend against any who breach the walls and make their way inside.
    • Beasts Unleashed: Wandering the landscape of Weken and residing underneath the fortress, these Sithspawn and ravenous creatures are ready and enthusiastic to slaughter the enemies of their masters.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
When the Sith Warlords, in their initial rapacious subjugation of the Tingel Arm, conquered the worlds of Kamar, Tash-Taral, and Weken, the High Lord Kascalion Giedfield set his frozen gaze upon the latter. The reasoning for this was simple enough, he explained, for it was a world none would choose to visit willingly on account of its toxic atmosphere and subsequent seclusion from the rest of the Galaxy. And so there he chose to settle a home away from his place of origin in Credence, and with a host of slaves and Sith entranced by his dark and savage qualities, he began to build. Many under his control who still had their wits about them - to an extent - expressed a curiosity with the man as he outlined the construction of a fortress in a blueprint that was contradictory to the way he carried himself in almost every situation.

Despite the plethora of lives lost. it was a simple installation. Kascalion saw the fortress built in an isolated section of the planet, with the predominant building of walls, automated and sorcerous defenses, and environmental shielding. Once most of it was complete, the Sith Lord began to utilize his vast training in Sith Alchemy to reinforce the structure, again at the cost of dozens of lives in his slaves. Before long, the entirety of the fortress was constructed both on the surface and underneath, including the arcane and inexplicable Temple of Gatherings, which not even the Sith Lord could find reasoning as to its existence. It would merely become yet another secret amongst hundreds more in this place, which was dubbed Ing Sedisĥ in its creator's infernal native tongue.

Now, it serves as Kascalion's secondary bastion as he serves the Warlords, and what truly occurs in the walls of this dreaded fortress are better left unwritten.

Hey there! Thanks for your patience here, I loved reading through this one and the use of alchemy makes for a great sub. I do have a few things I'd like to have clarified:

Two Towers | The description here at the end of this section seems to be unfinished ("From lightning conduits at the peaks to encircling blaster turrets,"). Please complete the description for these towers so that I and the readers can have a clear picture of the location.
Sith Statues | In this screenshot, you describe the statues that guard the pathway to the Fortress itself. I believe that the use of active Force Powers here is a stretch unless you have an approved Species/Tech sub that backs this. Alternatively, you could link an approved wiki example, such as the Sith Jedi Statues, and modify the description accordingly. Otherwise, you would need to have them simply be alchemized without being able to actively draw on the Force/use it.

Ylla Caeli'runa HELLO. I agree on the statues using Force Powers at all being a major stretch when they already have the alchemy defenses and the ability to use weapons. So I changed it to this:
  • Route and Fortress Statues: Further creations of the Warlords and acting as the primary ground unit defenders, these Sith Statues are armed with a number of vibroweapons, some even lightsabers.
I hope this is acceptable! I also finished the sentence for the Two Towers as well!
