Hey everyone.
Over the next week we are going to change the layout of the forum a touch.

This is mostly to streamline what we have into a more user friendly system that will be easy to navigate for new members as well as the old.

This will also probably include an art re-do so any ideas on that would be great.

So yeah please post wants, don't wants, requests, ideas and the like here.

Let's make this faction beautiful!

I've made missions for the Ren. I can do the same for the other areas of the FO.

I also generally have a good feeling when 'TFA' comes out and The First Order becomes real movie canon and thus gives us all more info on the Faction and the Knights Of Ren, this will be perfectly placed to hopefully get lots of new members inspired by the movie to be part of something, theoretically, more modern and up to the times than the Empire and Imperials.

Anyway I'm thinking of introducing a member ran unit submission. We're going to call them Orders because why not. I've made up a template.

Order Roster and Submissions (Squads, Regiments, Fleets etc)

All Orders are to submitted to this forum using the template below. Creators of the Order are responsible for keeping membership up to date. Faction Admins may ‘disable’ orders at their discretion if they are un-active. Each order must have two or more members.

Order: (State the name of the Order)
Intent: (What is the role of this Order? Is it an Intelligence gathering Unit, a strike commando force or do they patrol the stars?)
Membership Requirement: (Do you have an age restriction? Rank restriction? Do they have to be part of the First Order?)
Size: (How large is the Order? Does it consist of several PC characters or more?
Codex Links: (If there are NPC submissions, or particular tech link here)
Roster: (Who is part of the Order)
Signature Tag: (Get artistic. Easy to see who is with your unit. 350x31px)
Description: (Give a more detailed description of the Order.)

Just need to see if interest is there.

I might be also looking at implementing a slightly narrowed down view on our ranking system. Basically making the First Order a 'how you want to play it' faction.

I'm not sure on what details I'll propose to everyone yet, but it will revolve around us being a bit looser in formation as we have lost Eriadu. We will see members be able to take more of a 'independent warlord' with fleet battle groups operating independently while still answering to the Supreme Leader as a base, at least until we are major.

Again not a surety, but something to look into.

On the vein of missions...

I was chit-chatting with [member="Jaron Lesan"] earlier, and the idea was proposed for crossover missions between the Ren and Intel. I love that kind of stuff, really, and the cross-exposure is really a boon to character's skillsets.

Do you have anything more to say on the matter, Jaron?

[member="Inkara Liet"] That is an idea I love. The combination of the Knights of Ren and Intelligence as two separate avenues is something I can see working.

The suggestion was to have "unofficial" missions. I admit my inspiration is very much inspired by TFU and the use of Starkiller as a secret agent for Vader. In this case the operatives would be a combination of Intel, military, and Ren. Each respective group would not know about the others alternative service to the First Order.

All dealings would be off the record, no public accolades or accommodations. Any promotion would just happen, and seem to be part of natural service to the Emporer.

I kind of like the ranks they way they are now. I think it's one major thing that this faction does right that most others don't.

[member="Greifen Ren"] I have no intentions of removing the rank process. It is what sets us apart.

[member="Jaron Lesan"] This is something I like, in fact when we first made the faction my theory was that the Ren would work as agents among all the branches. For example Aram as Supreme Commander has several specific Ren who work for him for both external and internal affairs. They are however part of the Knights of Ren and are loyal to the Supreme Leader who could pull them out from Aram's control at any time.

All very political and secretive stuff.
