DARK EMPIRE
KARAVIS, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

divider-megint-DE2.png

Karavis. A heavily industrialized planet in the Outer Rim which housed a significant presence from the Kuat Drive Yards, one of the galaxy's largest shipbuilding corporations. Despite it's affiliation with KDY, the planet had remained largely ignored throughout most of galactic history with it being one of the many rare planets that had yet to see any significant combat in a galaxy torn by constant war. However with the recent emergence of the Diarchy and the rise of tensions between them and the Dark Empire, it appeared as Karavis's relative obscurity was finally going to come to an end as the Empire would take an interest to the planet, given it's proximity to Jaemus.

With Jaemus being the base of power of a prominent member of the Imperial Ruling Council, Moff Antipater, it was vital that a significant effort be undertaken to protect his holdings from the Diarchy especially when those holdings could be utilized by the Empire to disrupt any further expansion from the part of the Diarchy. As such, an expeditionary force had been dispatched to Karavis in order to find a suitable site for a future listening post that could be both utilized to monitor Diarchy fleet movements while simultaneously serving as a means for the Empire to further undermine future efforts undertaken by the Diarchy to expand their territories as the conflict between the Empire and the Diarchy would only further escalate.

At the head of this expedition would be no one else but Captain Joseph Torson, the commanding officer of the Red Right Hand, whom had been entrusted with carrying out this operation given their skill and experience. With the Red Right Hand at the helm, this operation was expected to go smoothly although it was expected that the Empire could face some form of resistance from either the Diarchy or the Trade Federation, although given the nature of the operation it was expected that any interference could be easily dealt with in time. The success of this operation was vital as it represented a key component of the Jaemus Initiative. Failure was something the Empire could not afford, not during these urgent times.

Before long, the Imperial expedition would soon make it's arrival on Karavis with a squadron of Imperial Gunships escorted by another squadron of TIEs soon began their descent from the Obsidian Enforcer in orbit towards one of the planet's mountainous regions where one of the proposed sites for the listening post were located. The Imperial surveying operation had begun, jumpstarting one of the most important operations of the Imperial Military entering this new year, which would be the key to determining whether the Empire or the Diarchy would control the northern portion of the New Territories in the foreseeable future.

Warlord, Raider, Conqueror

The selection of a Regent for the Empire by the Ruling Council was met with discontent by Soontir.

Who had pledge loyalty to only Darth Solipsis in life and in death. He would always remain the true ruler of the Dark Empire in the minds of the Dark Side Elite, but even then a majority of them did want to openly challenge the new government in fear of fracturing an already divided empire.

Such concerns were valid to an extent but with the death of the Imperial Despot Korvan and the silence of the Galactic Emperor, the Elite were compelled to take on the duty of safeguarding his vision and ensuring adherence to it across all worlds aligned under the Imperial banner.

This mission was a primary motivation for Soontir's arrival in the mountainous region of Karavis.

The wind had intensified significantly since his arrival on the planet a few hours earlier; however, the force served as a fortunate guide, directing him towards refuge and resources in a nearby village as the sound of Imperial Gunships escorted by another squadron of TIEs broke through the atmosphere.

The architecture was ancient and unremarkable compared to the wider galaxy, reflecting the notion that this planet had been largely overlooked for an extended period of time which would benefit the Empire considerably.

"The Dark Empire - a concept that should not exist for who can combine the core tenants of an Empire and Bogan into a unifying entity, without one or the other falling into obscurity. " He muttered to himself.

Rejecting the notion that these two concepts could ever exist with one another without being forced to choose, do you focus on the might of an Empire with limitless potential or focus on the destructive and alluring power of the Dark Side of the Force like so many Sith Empires before them.
