GENERAL INFORMATION

• Description: Fox Company is composed of volunteers from numerous worlds in the Outer Rim. Not satisfied with being held in reserve, these soldiers are driven to take the fight to all parties that endanger the safety and freedoms of all civilians. The rangers of Fox Company are made up, for the most part, by individuals who have been closely affected by tragedy. Fathers and mothers killed by tyrannical despots, spouses and children kidnapped by slavers, brothers and sisters lured in by fanatical cultists. Their fight goes beyond peacekeeping. It's personal. This shared condition unites them. For many, their fellow rangers are the closest thing to family they have left.

  Combat Function: Fox Company serves multiple roles. They are recon commandos accustomed to being the first on the ground to scout and engage enemy positions, set up ambushes, and mobilize partisan forces. In space they are boarding squads accustomed to kicking in the doors of pirate vessels and retaking control of hijacked ships. The rangers also serve as civilian support, rescuing trapped groups and offering logistical assistance.

Strengths:

• Combat Experienced: Fox Company only attracts individuals who have seen combat and are well-suited for it. The rangers feel more at home on the battlefield than they do in civilian life. Many were veterans long before joining the company, bringing invaluable experience and instinct to their operations.
  
  
• Mobile and Flexible: Unlike a traditional army battalion, Logan's rangers travel light. Forgoing large-scale armor and artillery for fast-moving troop transports and portable armaments. This allows them to deploy and reposition quickly and largely unnoticed.

Weaknesses:

• Small Numbers: Fox Company numbers range from between 164-300 members depending on the deployment. While this makes them fast and adaptable it also limits their ability to reinforce themselves. There are no reserves to be called up and the loss of every ranger is the loss of an individual with a specific skill set that is difficult to replace.
  
  
• Lightly Armored: Their lack of heavy armor and vehicles make them vulnerable to heavy bombardment and aerial attacks for which they have very limited response.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Fox Company was formed when Vad Logan received a personal commission from a member of the Rimward Trade League council. His success fighting against pirates, insurgents, cartels, and other threats saw him fit to lead an armed detachment of the Rimward Ranger Corps designed to protect the region. They serve under the larger Ranger command but for the most part they operate independently, choosing their own patrols and missions.

Being a grizzled war veteran himself, Logan had an eye for recruiting individuals from many different races in the outer rim that he felt would best fulfill this specialized role. This handpicked company would be affectionately known as Logan's Rangers, representing the specific attitude, ethic, and care of their captain.

In their four years of active duty, Fox Company has made a name for themselves in the Outer Rim. They answer distress calls when no one else will. They take on danger that would make lesser companies call for backup. More than just muscle, Logan's Rangers are an inspiration to freedom fighters and independent thinkers across the sector.
