Intent: A medicine used to treat nearly all injuries (excluding diseases and sicknesses)
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Independent Scientists
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: No, the medicine can only be made with the FR-1 substance.
Production: Semi-unique / Very Limited
Material: The Medicine is primarily made of the Fast Regenerative substance found in the Kaija species blood.
Description:
With the discovery of the Kaija and the unique substance in the species cells which allow injuries to heal much quicker than almost any other creature, it was clear that there was lots of money to be made if this was turned into a medicine. Therefore, the race was on to make the FR-1 Medicine.
After much experimenting and testing the medicine was finally ready. Initial test on human and humanoid species showed that the FR-1 Medicine was able to completely heal minor injuries, from smalls cuts to punctures in a matter of minutes. Though more major injuries, such as such as deep stabs, and blaster burns could take up 6-8 days to heal completely, this was still over 2x faster that natural healing speed. In some cases, the medicine was able to regenerate limbs and damaged organs, but this could take from 6-12 months.
With this medicine on such high demand, nearly every Kaija was hunted and killed in an effort to make more of the medicine. Since doctors and scientists were never able to duplicate the FR-1, the medicine disappeared along with the last of the Kaija. More medicine could be made with surviving Kaija, but the species is so rare that it could take a lifetime searching for one. If someone were to find a Kaija, attempting to make the Medicine would be extremely difficult due to how most of the recipes for the drug have been long since forgotten or locked away, incase somebody did try to remake the medicine.
(OOC Note: I do not expect this drug to EVER feature in any Roleplay thread. I just needed to submit a tech thread to get my Kaija Species approved.)
