Name: Raloph Scindia
Loyalties: Valiens Nantaris, Levantine Sanctum
Role: Nantaris’ second in command and trusted friend. He’s also a capable Force user and tends to be more diplomatic than his boss, so often does the negotiations.
Development Threads: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/53518-first-contact-levantine-sanctum-dominion-of-tygara/page-1shows him in action and his comradeship with Nantaris.
Age: 27
Species: Human
Force-Sensitive: Yes
Appearance: Scindia has adopted a rather more clean-cut look than Nantaris. He has his hair cut short, his face clean-shaven and slightly better tailored outfits. This is often so much so that people mistake him for the leader of the group!
Scindia has brown eyes and hair, his skin is tanned from long campaigns and journeys over the galaxy.
Personality: Scindia and Nantaris have a deep trust and friendship with each other, leading to one taking on the tasks the other is not proficient in. Being more diplomatic than Nantaris by nature, he often takes the role of negotiator for the group. He is also notably more patient than his boss, and has a rather dry sense of humour. In combat he is moderate, and tries to abide by the Jedi principles even if he is no longer a member of the Order.
Weapon of Choice: Single blue-bladed lightsabre, the Force, blaster pistol.
Wealth: Limited. Having been a Jedi Knight Scindia is not in this for the money. Rather, he’s in it for the cause.
Combat Function: Scindia works best with Nantaris, forming a powerful partnership against all types of enemies. Whilst his friend specialises in Form V (Shien), Scindia is well versed in the more attacking and acrobatic Form IV (Araru). In battle he acts as the hammer to his friend’s anvil, striking when Nantaris has distracted the opponent. Having been friends for well over 15 years now, the two know each other’s style well and anticipate each other’s actions.
Other than that, Scindia operates as the second in command of the Rangers.
Skills:
Other Notes:
Raloph Scindia grew up on the planet Chandrilla during the last years of the Darkness. Being from middling family, his early life was nothing unusual. When the Jedi Order exploded back onto the scene with the Republic, Force users were recruited into the fold on many planets. With Scindia there was no dramatic occurrence which caused his powers to emerge, but a slow realisation of unusual abilities around the age of 16-18.
Being the second of four children, Scindia’s family were content for the Jedi to take him on the condition he would be allowed to visit when once he became a Knight.
Scindia trained on Coruscant and Alderaan, quickly showing his skills as a physical Jedi especially keen in lightsabre combat. It was there he met Valiens Nantaris, a Jedi who was a couple of years ahead of him and close to being Knighted. The two struck up an unlikely friendship as the proper and straight-laced Scindia contrasted with the more flippant and individualistic Nantaris.
During the first clashes with the Sith Empire the two formed a team, with Nantaris taking him on as his Padawan when Scindia’s master was lost at Roche. It was an unconventional mentoring though, and the two became more friends than teacher and student.
When Nantaris decided to leave the Jedi and strike out on his own after the rise of the One Sith, Scindia followed him willingly, and they formed a group of disaffected Republic soldiers, Force users and others into the Freespace Rangers. This group was benevolent in purpose, operating against Sith, criminals and slavers of all types, and Scindia was the natural choice to be the second in command.
Now after several years in the role Raloph Scindia is more experienced and skilled in command roles as well as being a capable Force user and duellist. He is, in many ways, the perfect friend for Nantaris.
OOC: Scindia is an NPC foil and companion for Nantaris. He will not be used to engage PCs, only NPCs, unless agreed between writers beforehand.

Name: Alicia Prax
Loyalties: Freespace Rangers, Nantaris, Levantine Sanctum.
Role: Slicer, infochant, tech guru.
Development Threads: N/A
Age: 23
Species: Human
Force-Sensitive: No
Appearance: Alicia is a somewhat lanky girl above average height. She has long, dark hair and pale eyes. She wears a mismatch of clothes, different coloured socks etc as a result of being somewhat unfocused. She tends to slouch when sitting and gives an impression of idleness even if this is not true.
Personality: Alicia is extremely intelligent, but only focussed in the fields which interest her. She has some problems with social skills, having no societal filter which stops her saying what she thinks. Usually though this is not out of callousness, rather because she doesn’t tend to focus on others.
She gets on well with Nantaris because the two understand each other well. He is familiar to her, and he knows how to ask for her help in a way which makes her want to help. Appeals to loyalty and goodness don’t sway her, but a challenge or a puzzle does.
Weapon of Choice: If Alicia can use her technical skills to slice into security systems or droids she will do that. If not, she carries a hold-out blaster, but is not very good with it.
Wealth: Average, though paid by Nantaris a normal wage Alicia doesn’t tend to use it. She has no interest in fashion, and her technical gear is usually paid for by the group, so the money has piled up for a number of years.
Combat Function: Alicia provides support, either slicing into enemy systems, providing directions, or breaking into enemy systems after a fight. Personally, Alicia is useless in personal combat and will hide if attacked.
Skills:
Other Notes: Alicia Prax is not a revolutionary, she is not a defender of the light and a seeker of truth and wisdom. Rather, she’s a highly skilled, but extremely focussed individual on her technical skills.
Born on the outer rim world of Tatooine, Alicia had a difficult early life as people quickly decided she was lazy or stupid, unfairly as it turned out. Rather, she was gifted technically but didn’t have the way of expressing herself to show that.
Alicia’s family life was bad, as her mother died when she was young and her father was often away on business of various semi-legal sorts. Often left alone, Alicia found it hard to cope by herself, and likely would have fallen out of school entirely if it wasn’t for her younger brother Deric. He helped her enormously by pushing her to complete school and embrace her clear talents in technology whilst helping her survive. Bad news further came when she learned that her father had died in an accident, leaving the children nothing.
Unfortunately for Alicia, Deric had some vices of his own, and after being unable to pay his gambling debts he was shot and killed by criminals.
Left adrift, Alicia eventually, she fell in with the wrong crowd. Being quite naïve she was tricked into working for one of the many criminal groups on the planet who could see her skills. After showing off her technical skills by unwisely slicing into a local criminal’s network, she came to the notice of a local Hutt, who employed said criminal. Rather than hurting her though, the criminal recruited and she was put to work for him.
Given purpose and a challenge, Alicia was loyal to the Hutt who cunningly left her alone and treated her well. Since Alicia was unworried by money and she was a net gain for the organisation, the Hutt was very happy to use her talents.
Largely unbothered by the criminal activities, she nonetheless changed sides when the Freespace Rangers brought down her former boss’ enterprise. The Hutt had gotten into the slavery trade, especially in Twi’leks, which was something which earned him Nantaris’ ire. In a raid on the Hutt’s palace in the aftermath of the upheavals of the Rapture, the crime boss was disposed of and Alicia was rescued.
Immediately Nantaris could see that Alicia was no villain, but a girl with talents and little social skills who just wanted a chance to do her own thing and be recognised for it. And so Nantaris offered her a job.
Nantaris soon learned how best to make use of her skills, and the two became friends…or as close to as she was probably able to. Since then she has been the resident technical guru and slicer for the group, helping out in a non-combat way.

Name: Myrtirae (prefers being called Myr)
Loyalties: Herself, Freespace Rangers (for now)
Role: Pilot, information, ranged combat.
Development Threads: N/A
Age: 25
Species: Twi’lek
Force-Sensitive: No
Appearance: Myr is a very attractive blue Twi’lek of average height. She tends to wear more than the stereotypical Twi’lek, usually wearing an old jacket, combat boots and a light armour suit.
Personality: Myr has a very outgoing and gregarious personality. She’s able to settle tensions by talking, and works with Scindia to be a negotiator for the group. She is something of a chronic tease, flirting with her boss, but rarely letting him have what he wants. She had a rather flippant and sarcastic sense of humour, made serious only when dealing with her former employers in the Corsairs.
Not especially well schooled, she has something of an inferiority complex when it comes to academic discussions or the Force.
Weapon of Choice: Twin blaster pistols, vibrodagger, martial arts. Capable with a blaster rifle too.
Wealth: Limited. She is paid relatively well, but is quite a spendthrift and doesn’t save much of it.
Combat Function: In combat, Myr’s function is to act as ranged backup to the two Jedi, using her skills with the blaster pistols to pick off targets. She can also act as a distraction by pinning down targets from a distance whilst others move in.
Skills:
Other Notes: Myrtirae was born into a family of freelance pilots who often did smuggling on the side. In the time before the end of the Dark Ages they lived a hand-to-mouth existence. Things improved though with the increase in commerce and trade following the rise of the new nations. The family signed a lucrative deal with the Republic and Mandalorians and Myr’s parents were able to retire to Gyndine whilst she took on the family business.
Myr however made a poor choice and got stuck with the Corsairs, a pirating and slaving group which operated on the fringes of the galaxy. This choice was to spurn the advances of one of the group’s leaders, Captain Trant, and then get involved in a fight with some goons belonging to Trant.
Angered, he gave her a choice; carry their cargo exclusively, or he’d put a hit out on her family. Feeling trapped and unable to get away, she complied, but she knew it’d not be long before her employers turned on her.
Being blackmailed into carrying their cargo she was finally betrayed and had her ship taken and she herself was sold into slavery. The excuse for this was that she’d been late on a delivery due to a raid by Levantine personnel. Trant ordered Myr back to Arkas, their base, and there took her prisoner.
Before he could savour his unfortunate victim though he had to bring her to him, and so she was shipped off world with many others for the Corsair’s meeting place.
At this low point though her salvation arrived in the form of the Freespace Rangers and their leader Valiens Nantaris. After wiping out her captors he offered her a new job proposition; payback against the Corsairs and working as a pilot for him. With her ship gone she accepted, aiming to leave as soon as possible, but over time she formed a good partnership with the Rangers. A born joker, she quickly learned that her boss had a ‘thing’ for Twi’leks, especially blue ones. Her flirting and his attempts to touch her lekku quickly became an in-joke for the whole group.
And so Myr has decided to stay, as much to troll Nantaris as anything else, but she does have a sense of justice, and the mission of the Freespace Rangers appeals to her more than she’d care to admit. So now she works as pilot, mechanic and combat operative for the group, using her skills to help others.

Name: D-43. Many other names used by Nantaris not repeatable due to profanity.
Loyalties: Valiens Nantaris. Probably.
Role: Translator, working with droids, knowing things, cooking the books, annoying Nantaris.
Development Threads: N/A
Age: 80+
Species: Droid.
Force-Sensitive: No.
Appearance: D-43 is a bronze coloured droid of usual human height. His spindly arms and missing plating make him seem unfinished or broken. He moves at a shuffling walk, the result of damaged leg actuators. Nantaris’ efforts of repairs have resulted in a patchwork look to the droid’s exterior.
Personality: If left unwiped droids develop personalities far out of their original design. Such is the case with D-43, a droid who has gone for decades without a reset, and has now got a distinct personality. Usually D-43 takes the role of the put-upon servant to Nantaris, making snide comments. However, they also show an unusual concern for the welfare of others.
Weapon of Choice: Unarmed.
Wealth: Zero.
Combat Function: Attempting to slice networks with Alicia, or providing guidance via maps. Also useful for translation or interpreting in combat. No direct combat function though.
Skills:
Other Notes:
No one is certain how old D-43 is, not even the droid. Created on Nar Shaddaa during the Dark Age, the droid’s original function was unknown. However, the implementation of advanced translation, slicing and accountancy modules gives an answer; organised crime bookkeeper. Droids are preferred for this as they are easier to keep quiet and don’t make mistakes, can’t be bribed etc.
At one stage though D-43 sustained serious damage, and only after the period of its repair does it remember. D-43’s pieces were picked up by a scavenger and repaired by him, used to carry and slice into things. Eventually the droid’s owner died and D-43 was acquired by a Hutt who it served loyally for many years. Finally, that Hutt was overthrown by a rival and D-43 was taken by a smuggler named Lot Sax. The smuggler kept the droid for many years, never bothering to wipe its memory or personality, and so the two came to emulate each other.
When the smuggler died the droid offered itself for sale and was purchased by Jedi Knight Valiens Nantaris to assist with his missions. When Nantaris and his friend Scindia left the order they took D-43 with them, though Nantaris was tempted to throw the irritating droid into a compactor.
Despite how much D-43 annoys Nantaris, he has always refused to have the personality wiped, noting ‘I’d rather have a snarky ass than a drone.’
Now operating as the group’s translator and protocol droid, D-43 is a useful, if slightly agitating part of the Freespace Rangers.
