Kindred Spirits

Sitting aboard the Command Center of his personal flagship Rellik was having what was near an existential crisis of boredom. He had to think of something to do when it hit him! The new addition to the Diarchy! His showing at their high council meeting was exciting and had good character. Rellik himself was a bit of a showman, flip flopping between creating lavish illusions for events and being a vicious killer the next. To him Matthew seemed like a kindred spirit, a welcome to their faction. During his introduction there were talks of a group of Pirates hunting Matthew and the Diarch had promised to help him hunt them down. If not for their new compatriots sake than for the sake of the citizens within Diarchy space. Matthew himself said he would handle the duty alone but Rellik was yearning for the chance to see more from their new friend and do something besides stare out his ship into space.

Opening the communications aboard his personal flagship he called out to Matthew. After awaiting a few moments the handsome devil answered.
"Hello Matthew!" He spoke jovially as the call was picked up. "I am having a bit of a slow day, are you interested in getting your vengeance upon those pirates who shot you down unto Bastion in the first place? Seems like a lovely way to pass the time." A smile upon the Diarchs lips.

Rellik was a man who hated boredom. The tedious slow moments. He did not mind council meetings since they usually led to grand events but when there was absolutely nothing to do beyond watch his men he would be driven to near insanity. It was these moments where the Diarch would tend to get himself into trouble of one kind or another.

The day promised to be as usual for Matthew, wake up, eat, meditating and after that, finding a little spot to work on his focus before doing some research about the pirates who made him fall.
He's still standing away from everyone in the Crucible, he remains a guest and does not wish to disturb the organization of the Diarchy as long as he's not officially accepted.

As he search for any place who have the potential to be a hideout for pirates, using his own experience for the analysis, his datapd starts to ring, when he sees the name of Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik he stands up, adjust his clothes and answer with a smile.

"Hello Diarch" He spoke with a little smile that warms up when he heard the proposition to hunt.

"Well, if you're not busy, I have a few ideas of where they could hide. I'm still in the Crucible so it'll take some time to join you but I'm all open to a little bit of sport today."

He walks toward the ship hangars as they talk. His smile twist a bit as he thinks about those who dares taking him down and he wonders who could hate him, he always took good care of never attacking someone too important. Choosing suicidal missions that no-one wanted. He had a little reputation so who could be so cocky towards him ?

Preparations were made for the mission. The DSD - Vault - The bulwark class star destroyer would be ready if the needed to enter a naval battle. All Batteries, Cannons, Autocannons, Missile and rocket pods would be fully stocked. The Diarch would go to the fighter bay and talk to the specialist pilots aboard. The Vaults low hanger space required strictly four fighters that would prioritize defending the ship itself.

Once that was complete he would go to the Hanger Matthew would be arriving in and decided to check on the crew as he waiting. He called over the leader of the staff for the area with a request.
"Ah, Danton; get into touch with the kitchen crew. Have them prepare a meal, some water, wine and than bring the cart here or send on of your personnel to grab it and bring it here." The order was received with a salute and the promptness expected when being talked to by a Diarch.

For now Rellik would wait in the hanger. Watching some of the more non-essential staff go about their day. Not the most exciting thing but something that should be done to know who is doing what aboard your flagship!

Matthew borrowed a Spacefighter to the Crucible, informing anyone who is in charge and takes off towards Rellik's ship. During the flight, he still studying the intel he have on the pirates.
"Maybe they're hiding somewhere, preparing to leave but I'm pretty sure they've joined the nearest pirate station to
brag about their coup... I think the station is the best trail to follow."

He leans back on the chair, watching the stars pass before him, his mind wandering.
"I was like them before... Looking for the brightest coup, the one that'll make me famous and respected, the blaze of glory." He sigh "This is so far away now but... I'm happy with the Diarchy, I really hope I'll be able to officially join them and not just be a guest."

After a while, Matthew arrives in the DSD Vault. After landing and getting out of the ship, he whistle in admiration, speaking out loud to anyone who can hear him, his voice echoing in the Hangar.

"Magnificent, you sure know how to handle things. Congratulation to those who built this beautiful Destroyer." He starts looking at everyone around him before seeing Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik and joining him.

"Bonjour Diarch Rellik !" He said with a fancy reverence. "I do hope I'm not bothering you with this little hunt of mine." He smiles warmly.

Rellik watched in the hangar bay as Matthew arrived. His excitement starting to cook. Things were beginning to look up. Upon his arrival Matthew took in the Diarchs flagship and it filled him with pride. Enjoying his comments about its appearance.

Matthew approached him and stated,
"Bonjour Diarch Rellik !" - "I do hope I'm not bothering you with this little hunt of mine." - The greeting was of two men who had already seemed to grow and enjoy each others presence.

"Of course not Matthew! You are saving me from a terrible dreadful day to be honest. Anyway, I enjoy your company. Between the show in the council chambers and your demeanor now. I think this will be a great time." The Diarch showed the cart of goodies to Matthew signaling he is welcome to take anything he wants.

"A few pirates are not much in the face of the Diarchy. Between the two of us and my flagship I am sure we can wipe them off of the face of the galaxy. It will be a fun day. Now please enjoy yourself with these delicacies and fill me in on any information you have. We will begin the hunt!" Rellik was enthused to have a purpose for the day. Something to get him going! He was smiling and informal with Matthew. When it came to High Council members we was among the most approachable.

He smiles when Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik told him he was bored before this little hunt. He take a seat and a cup of tea when offered to. He seems very pleased to see Rellik, he appreciates a lot this man, a polite kindred spirit.

He pulls out a map and points to a small asteroid on the edge of the region, with a smile.

"Here, there's a small hideout where they can get supplies, a kind of speakeasy. I think we'll find them there, pirates are like schoolgirls: They need to brag about their exploits."

He leans back in his seat, thinking about what to do next.

"We should go there with a small ship and ask for information."

He looks at Rellik, waiting for his reaction.

The welcoming party was received well. Rellik enjoyed making good impressions. As the two spoke Matthew revealed a map. Star charts were always fascinating and pirate ones were full of intricacies that the common man would never see such as speakeasy's, treasure, secret hyper lanes. Rellik probably studied it for a moment longer than needed but the little things pirates like to hide are always good to know.

As Matthews words washed over him, he was in full agreeance.
"I think that would be the best course of action. A smaller shuttle will lead to an easy infiltration as we decide how we want to approach the situation. Finding an intel broker that will help us hunt these people down within the speakeasy. I will change into something less formal than my Diarch robes than!" He spoke with a smile and ended his words with a little laugh.

"Varis will ready my personal IV-9 Scout ship. It will have any necessities we need and appear as more of a smuggling vessel." Rellik called Varis over his personal communicator relaying the instructions. "Meet me aboard, I will be heading to my chambers quickly to change. Than we will be off unto our little adventure!" The Diarch left to his personal chambers. Donning black slacks, a regular belt and white button up with fine slick loafers. Something he would typically wear when going out to the casino.

Upon returning to the hangar the vessel was ready. He hopped in just Matthew and himself as the ship was only seated for two. Looked over at his new friend in the cockpit and with a nudge asked.
"You ready for some revenge?" A smile on his face.

With Matthews answer the two took off. Rellik following Matthew's instructions on how to approach the facility since he would know their protocols and formalities.

He meets Rellik aboard the shuttle after their discussion and while he changes. For his part, Matthew will have asked to borrow a boombox or equivalent from the crew members as he have an idea.

"I am ready" He said with a big smile as their entering the shuttle. "I do hope you like making spectacular entrances, I want to show them that I'm not dead yet"

He'll gives some instructions to Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik on how they need to approach the little station, hidden behind an asteroïde, the buildings were designed to blend in with the rock to avoid being visually detected. When the Pirates contacts them in the comms, Matthew will respond :

"Hello friends, it's been a very long day so if you can just tells us were to land, I really could use a drink right now."

The other guy seemed to agree and tell them to land at the location n9.

Matthew look at Rellik and say "rule number 1, only foreigners show up, if you want to enter a pirate station, act like it's your home and you're a regular. That's how they manage to spot spies."

After that, he will wait for Rellik to land the ship, preparing his Boombox with some music.

"Second rule, make them know who you are and that's done right before entering the bar" He said with a big smile. "Remember when I asked you if you like making a spectacular entrance ?" He laught a bit.

With a smirk Rellik watched as Matthew brought what appeared to be a large speaker of some sort unto the shuttle. Whatever he had planned, the Diarch was ready to play along. "Ha ha, I do enjoy spectacle. Wait until they see me in a drinking competition or on the dance floor!" The two enjoying the shuttle ride on the way to the astroid.

Upon nearing arrival Matthew got them a hangar bay to land at. His informal and comfortable demeanor easing the guards. He would relay some ground rules so that their infiltration would be easier which was very appreciated.

The two docked in n9 station, the typical bustle of people moving in and out. Rellik stood up, fixed his slacks and gave his loafers a little smack as if clearing dust. Looked up at matthew, gave a little disco-esque dance to show off his outfit and said.
"Oh yeah, I am ready for this" With a big smile. In response to his partner saying it would be a spectacle.
