Davin Jusik
TIE Bomber LT- DREX
Location: Repair Shuttle in route to Void Station
Objective: "Upgrade" Void Station security systems, collect intelligence on guards and choke points
Ross adjusted one of the blue maintenance jumpsuits the Union had acquired for this operation as the clunker of a starship drifted towards their destination. Void Station being the fortress it was, anytime a new security measure was to be put in place that required installation outsiders were inevitably brought in. Unfortunately for the Void's current masters, the CEO of the company that handled their systems contract had recently been brought under Union control by a few damning pieces of blackmail involving a certain group of alien whores and spice. Investor confidence and a good chunk of the company's contracts would've went had the resulting photographs been released to the public. Ross had taken those pictures himself.
Life had changed dramatically for the former PI over the month since he'd met his benefactor, a man by the name of Lucien. Much of his work reminded him of when he was an enforcer for the Suns, except the results seemed much nobler. It appeared that after a bit of blood the Union actually did improve the lives of those who they annexed. It really felt like he was helping bring civilization to a chaotic galaxy. A small blaster pistol sat concealed on his wrist, one of those one could flick out if needed.
What were a few dead thousand dead when millions prospered? Not that he reveled in it. He tried his best to reduce suffering, even in the act of killing. It just seemed necessary. Pacifism wouldn't move the galaxy forward.
He looked out of the viewport at the dotted blackness before him.
