  • Blade of Frost: This sword houses a Grave Crystal in its guard, utilising the absorbent nature of Kardun metal in its blade to funnel the energy into the blade, creating a jagged black-ice texture along the blade. It is a weapon designed to slaughter Drael.
  • Instant Freeze: When the blade comes in contact with any material, it will potentially freeze any moisture into black residue on contact.
STRENGTHS
  • Extreme Cold
  • Devastating Wounds
WEAKNESSES
  • Cannot be held by the bare hand
  • When the crystal shatters, the weapon explodes

The Draelvasier kingdom of Kardun was once home to the catatonic Drael, the precursor species to the modern Drael - a species of passive technologically dependent obscenities slaughtered by Tathra Khaeus. Two centuries later, the graves of the fallen Drael began to sprout crystals of elemental energy, a searing freeze that would burn the flesh of any Drael in proximity. When the civil war began above Kardun, the first thing to be lost on both sides were their larger vessels capable of long-distance travel, not all were destroyed but it severely limited both sides' ability to scavenge for resources. Loyalists and heretics alike, hunted each other across Kardun's neighbouring worlds, fighting costly battles over mines and fuel depots scattered across the system.

Eventually, Tathra Khaeus turned to the burial sites of the fallen Drael. A sacred site untouched by the war until that point. The hilt was made of Verikast wrapped in leather made from the hide of a Rhivak. The crystals were harvested and placed into a guard of Kardun metal, forming the black coating seen on the blade. A terrible tool used to turn grazing blows into debilitating or lethal injuries. These swords were designed to pierce the plate, armourweave, and carapace of a Draelvasier. Commonly used as a one-handed Gladius, pulled from the small of a Draels back when drawn into confined spaces where the more typical, larger, martial weapon of a Drael may be constricted.

Many Drael were hesitant to use such weapons, both because of the nature of the weapon and the pain caused by wielding it. Eventually, special gauntlets were designed by Tathra to allow Drael to use the now-dubbed 'Kinslayer' for extended periods. However these gauntlets did not stop the pain outright and this became the sanctified burden of wielding a blade perfectly sculpted to slay your own.

Very cool weapon and very cool art! However, I have concern about it:
Instant Freeze: When the blade comes in contact with any material, it will freeze any moisture into black residue on contact.
It is always the opponent decides about how the attacks or any technology/Force affect them. I would like to ask you to reword this.
