The Skyrise Diner
A Metropolitan Local - Noon

She was a busy diner at the top of the world. Tall glass windows, high ceilings, intimate table settings, and four large screen holovids perfect for watching eSports while you dine. It was classy and stylish but without being posh or elite. It said, I have design. Without saying, I cost way too much money. And to Samantha Roberts of Sullust it said,

"This is the perfect place for a lunch date. Hehe."

Sam stood tall and long-legged on the balcony overlooking the restaurant. Armed in her casual leathers and trimmed with new heels. Girl was ready for business. Twinder business.

She clutched her tiny purse by it's silver strings and swayed over to the hostess,

"Table for two please. Center table with a view of the game. Yes. Oh, I know. Hehe. Yes. Good to see you again too. ...Okay. Perfect. Thank you. ...Oh? No. I'm not expecting them here for a few minutes. Of course. I'll wait. No biggie."

Smiling with anticipation, Sam turned back to the door to wait. Maybe her date would arrive early? Otherwise, she'd just have to keep table warm with an appetizer or two. ...Or three? Gasp!

"So how do I look?" He said it looking at the one soldier who had gotten to drive the speeder and the man had been well subjected to it all. The padawan though making sure the bleached blonde hair was proper and not messed up from the wind. "It is fine." That was more then enough for what he needed rising up and wearing the black form fitted outfit. Great for training as his master had said looked better and he pulled the robe out behind himself. No visible saber but checking to make sure one last time there was nothing in his teeth or under the nails. All pretty like and presentable. "Wish me luck." He looked at the soldier sliding the black robe on and leaving it open so his shirt was visible with the trousers and belt. Black boots marking him as a jedi and jedi didn't really have black tie uniforms and suits. He entered offering a warm smile speaking. "I am expected, some lovely lady waiting for me I think please." He spoke it and got a look but the server seemed to know who he was talking about while being led in to meet Samantha.

Sam stood up in the waiting room as [member="Barinthus E`ron"] approached. She recognized him from his Twinder picture. Smiling a bright smile she stepped up to Barinthus and extended a hand for a shake,

"Hi. I'm Sam. Wonderful to meet you. Thanks for meeting me for lunch today."

She brushed back her long brown hair,

"So? ...Did you find the place okay?"

They still had a moment before their table was ready. The restaurant was busy with the lunch crowd but it wasn't loud enough to be a bother. The prefect place for a chat.

He turned his head at the sound of a voice, the woman coming at him and extending her hand. He brought his out taking her i quickly with his eyes to mostly get a good look without lingering while making it more about the eye contact. "A pleasure to meet you and no it wasn't to hard to find. I am just glad the people at the temple know their way around." He retracted his hand and looked at the rest of the place getting it in and making note of the exits while coming back around to her. "I was actually surprised when you agreed to this, not many jedi sign up for services on the holonet."

"You speak so boldly of our religion. Am I to assume you are a Jedi Knight yourself then? ...From the Republic perhaps?"

Sam remained surprised and curious about [member="Barinthus E`ron"] . She could not immediately discern his loyalties nor is particular sect of employment. She simply assumed he might be in the majority. A Jedi Knight from Ossus. As such, she remained conversational and bubbly. Her posture remaining relaxed and her eyes bright with interest.

He was looking at her and grinned. "I am still a padawan and alright compared to some but no where near a knight. Just some skills I am able to use here and there as needed." He was taking in the brightness of her smile and eyes while thinking about it and he was hungry here. "So have you been here often I don't normally leave Cazador and get real food."

The hostess motioned that their table was finally. Sam would walk and talk,

"Ah, a fellow Apprentice then. Fascinating. Fancy that?"

She took a seat at the table and nodded to the hostess. Their waiter would be along shortly.

"Actually yes. I come here for lunch anytime I'm on world. It's rather quite good."

Sam reached out a grabbed a menu from the center of the table. It was robust in choices and in appetizers. Yum.

"So I take it you don't travel often? What keeps you centered around your homeworld? Work maybe?"

He moved and was sitting down with a nod of his head while he waited for her to sit down and then followed suit. Thinking about what it was he had been working with... he left the planet but really there was plenty there to explore with. "I am usually on Cazador fighting leviathans with my father. It doesn't make for getting out to other places with a region filled with sithspawn." He said it more casually then most might in the situation just as a matter of fact something you just did.

Oh. That... Sounded terrible. Good grief.

"Ah. Well... That is unfortunate."

She seemed a bit frazzled and quickly retreated back to her menu. Eager to avoid the subject all together.

"Ahem. So? See anything on the menu that interests you?"

Sam was trying to change the subject.

He looked at her reaction and there it was, people seemed to like jedi most of the time. Though once you said you were one of those who fought and was looking towards fighting they didn't know what to say. A smirk on his face though looking at the menu and going over soe of it while he picked at some of the soup, appetizers and meal. He enjoyed plenty and didn't know when the next time was he would get more enjoyable food. "I do, though if you have recommendations I would enjoy hearing them."

Sam perked up and began giving a few suggestions,

"Ah well. The tortilla soup is a favorite. Pineapple mesada is also very good. Ooo, and the chicken quesadilla is also excellent. Truthfully, I always order their pizzas. The fancy ones with the wild ingredients. Mmm."

She paused to consider all the choices,

"Today I think I'll just go with the soup and salad. Pizza sounds too heavy. Maybe next time."

Sam closed her menu and looked about the restaurant. Enjoying the view and all the busy people. She liked the city. It has such a social fascination. Like people watching and shopping sprees. Simply fabulous.

Hearing the recommendation was more then enough for him, it was all sounding good and he wasn't going to deny... Real food sounded better making him more then happy to eat an entire store room. No time for real thought though while he was plotting out each selection in his head and looked at her. "Well that all sounds good and I don't know when the next time I'll be out like this with real people and food. I think I'll enjoy the soup you recommended and some chicken."

Sam nodded and waved the menu away,

"Great. So... You mentioned you don't get out often? What do you do for fun then?"

She didn't really have any pressing questions for the Jedi. At least, not yet anyway. E'ron seemed a complicated man and she would have to pick him apart piece by piece. Even if it meant asking odd questions from time to time.

He was looking at her and trying to think of what he did for fun... Jedi usually didn't have fun they had meditation and training and sitting on cold stone floors waiting for that grain on insight. Suddenly he realized how very boring he might sound despite having a work out routine and not looking like he just woke up. The realization was there on his face. "I... I don't know, I haven't really tried to have fun. Usually training and meditating... sometimes both at the same time."

Stick. Meet mud. Samantha was immediately puzzled by his answer. How can you be an adult and not know how to have fun? Surely he was jesting.

"Haha. Right. Now I know your messing with me. ...Mm. Good one."

She smiled and nodded. Figuring he was just kidding.

"But really? Dating. The Holonet. Being a Jedi. ...Come on? Really. What do you do for kicks and giggles, hmm? I'll bet you know a thousand ways to have a good time."

Sam smiled and leaned over the table. Pretending to be coy herself.

He was looking at her with that and thinking about the whole having fun thing as he went to work on things. "Well my idea of fun might be a little different. Being a jedi is important but there is an entire planet to work on and fight some of the local creatures. The mountains have a lot of hot springs and the people who live in the mountains need some protection." He scented the air a little and coul smell the food as his attention was on a few things with his hands rubbing together. "But I know fighting isn't what everyone does it is only what some of them do."

Sam nodded and took a moment to think that through. When the waiter came by she ordered and set her menu aside. Happy to move things forward.

"Your planet sounds like a violent place. I'm glad you could step away for awhile and do some traveling. I think you'll appreciate the rest of the universe. I'm sure it's very different. In a manner of speaking."

She shrugged and played with the silverware on the table. Not really sure if she wanted to ask any more questions at this point.

[member="Samantha Roberts"]

"It is only violent in some areas, the rest of the world is peaceful enough for the people living there." She was really bad at small talk though and had found a way to occupy his hands twiddling the fingers on the table and making everything a proper distance for use while he awaited the food to arrive and offered a look. "But enough about me, tell me more about yourself. As fun as it can be to talk about myself all day.... I don't think that would be fair to the pretty lady."

Sam smiled and began another quick tale about her childhood on the borders of Corellia.

Time passed easily. They ate and talked together for some time to come. It was a fun lighthearted meal filled with short stories and a welcome sense of humor. Josh was Josh and Sam was Sam. When the check came they paid separately and stood up to leave. Outside they once again found themselves surrounded by the easy sounds of a vibrant city. It had been a perfect date.

"Ah. That was wonderful. Thank you for joining me for lunch Barinthus. I had a lot of fun today."

She smiled and hugged her purse. Glad to have made a new friend.

"Let me get back to you next week and maybe we'll do this again sometime. How does that sound?"

[member="Barinthus E`ron"]

*ooc: back from loa. finishing up this week.

[member="Samantha Roberts"]

The meal was good and he rather enjoyed the company as it finished up and he rose up after her. A bow of her his and taking it all in as he straightened himself. "I enjoyed it as well and thank you, hope to hear from you." He held out hop and wouldn't deny it while working to see her off and safe before heading back to the outpost and ship to head home. He had a few things to think abut but more then that he was ready for a good fight with some nasty creature.
