As the the map is revealed and details of how the Event will affect us, there is another piece of news that I need to share.
[member="Tefka"] contacted me today to confirm that the rules regarding being an RPJ and an Admin of a Major Faction affected [member="Kiskla Grayson"] too. So with immediate effect, she has stepped down from the Faction Leader position.
And I was therefore asked to take over as Faction Owner as with the Event hours away we needed an FL in place. We agreed that once the Event is concluded, if required we can have a formal vote for the position of Faction Leader.
So, to fill the void, I've asked [member="Kian Karr"] to join the FA team - which now comprises myself, Kana and Kian. This is the OOC leadership team and should not be confused with the IC leadership team - the Triumvirate.
And the entire group is busy planning what to do next as soon as the Event details are revealed. And we'll need the help of as many of you as possible to share the load.
And Kiskla is still GM of the Jedi Order. Her mysterious recorded message is the subject of much IC debate and analysis and will play out in due course. OOC we're looking how best to use the Academy as our place to hold training etc. and we'll keep you updated, but if you haven't joined, I'd recommend you go and join to gain access to a whole range of development.
In the short-term all I can promise you is that my approach will be inclusive and allow the members to make as many decisions as possible. And to that end I'm going to be putting up a poll to ask if you'd still like the GR Faction to be closed (new members have to be approved by the FA team) or open (anyone can join at any time). The current approach was asked for by the members - but it seems sensible to check your views again.
