- Re-Education: The Fury Class Death Sphere is designed to counteract one of a force users most widely used talents, deflecting and redirecting energy based weaponry in a fight. The scattered shot ammunition used by the Fury Class creates a lethal danger should a lightsaber equipped opponent try and block any single shot.
- Mobile: With a maximum speed of thirty five MPH, the Fury Class Death Sphere is able to be a highly mobile threat on the battlefield, and can outmaneuver most foot based opposition.
- Explosive: When the Fury Class runs out of its limited ammunition, it is equipped with a small explosive device to allow the device to act as a kamikaze weapon.
- Highly Fragile: With the abundance of volatile ammunition inside it, and the need for speed, the Fury Class Death Sphere has minimal armor protection, and even an indirect hit can disable or destroy the device.
- Limited Sights: While it is capable of firing in almost any direction, the Fury Class only has the ability to track and fire on one target. If outnumbered or flanked, it becomes an easy target.
- Limited Space: The Fury Class, given its size, has only limited space for ammunition within it, and can hold a maximum of twelve shotgun shells at the most.
The Fury Class Death Sphere started out as a joke among members of the Mandalorian Union after a late night of drinking. Jokes passed around about how lightsaber wielding opponents could not stop a shotgun blast, eventually led to the discussion of the popular Jedi training orb. By the following morning, the first schematics on the Fury Class Death Sphere were already under development. Taking the base design of the Jedi training spheres, and removing the laser weaponry inside, as well as many other components, the Mandalorian Union was able to create a less intelligent, far more lethal version of the sphere for use in their coming wars as a swarm weapon against entrenched force user positions.
