DESCRIPTION
The Kamaitachi pistol, named after the spirits of the wind in ancient Atrisian culture, is an easily concealable sidearm that offers effective crowd-control. Looking to develop a weapon that delivered an impressive rate-of-fire without sacrificing discretion, members of the Tsukasa Gokudō hit the drawing board to come up with designs for a new repeating pistol. A slugthrower was originally considered for the concept, but was ultimately determined to be too loud and thus further resources would be needed to silence it. Instead, it was decided that production would begin on the current blaster variant. Though it offers little for penetration, the ease of carry and rate-of-fire make it ideal for street warfare.
Aesthetically the pistol is very simple and smooth, with no notably complex parts on the exterior. The plasteel body further emphasizes the smooth design with it's matte, plastic appearance while the barrel, heat sinks and heat-vulnerable internals are crafted from Dallorian Alloy. It is also apparent that the weapon was designed with near-human species of average size in mind, as larger aliens may have difficulty wrapping their hands around the body-integrated grip.
