- Built for Combat: The Nemean was designed to update and replace the older designs for the GADF, able to protect the average soldiers against average blaster fire, stabs, cuts, and anything that goes bang.
- Ammo for Days: Built with the intention of allowing GADF troopers to survive in the field for days on end, the Nemean has enough room between the utility belt, the ruck sack, and the bandoliers to allow a soldier to keep fighting for quite a while.
- Rated for Space: Designed for both ground forces, and GADF Marines, the Nemean is fully sealed, and is rated for space combat should the mission call for it. This also allows it to fight in any terrain, and through chemical attacks.
- Custom Fit: With the spanning size of the GA, the new standard issue armor was designed to be adaptable for most anatomical structures, and can even be extended for different species' unique features.
- Oh God, the Acid: While the Nemean is designed to protect against most things, acid is not one of them.
- Those Darn Beam Swords: This is for your average grunt. If you're trying to take on a sith lord in this, that's your prerogative.
- Lightning Rod: The Nemean isn't exactly designed to take on high voltage attacks.
- Disruptor Destructor: As with most armor, the Nemean isn't designed to deal with Disruptor blasts.
With the Second Great Hyperspace War now in the review mirror of the GA's military doctrine, and the war with the Enclave now in the forefront of military thought, the GA put out a general rearmament and reorganization call of it's Defense Force, putting many of it's older equipment to rest in favor of commissioning new equipment. One of these was a new set of standard issue GADF armor that would act as the new best friend to GADF grunts of all shapes, sizes, and rank. While Si Tech was on the shortlist given their recent success, the contract was going to go to another supplier before Rara rushed into the General's office with a finished prototype, allowing Si tech to finally take the contract.
Designed with utility over form in mind, the GADF specifically requested a set of armor light enough that your average solider could use it, but strong enough to withstand your average mando loadout. While nonstandard equipment can likely take a Nemean user off guard, it is designed to withstand heavy blaster fire and slugs, while allowing troopers to respond with force against mandos and other threats of a similar level.
