HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Millenia of conflict has been settled in the 'grand battle.' Dozens, perhaps hundreds, of line ships forming lines (as they're named for) and slugging it out, oft ignoring the explicit focus of strike craft and missile bombardment outside of smaller skirmishes that ultimately orbit the main slug fest. Each and every time, even the winners in a Decisive Victory have often faced horrendous casualties simply due to the circumstances of this sort of thing.
Rear Admiral Tagashon does not wish to do such a thing with his forces, not without playing every other angle first. Thus, he headed the commissioning of a new concept in galactic warfare: the carrier strike group. A fleet focused almost entirely on remaining firmly outside of the enemy's turbolaser bombardments to instead pummel them from afar with missiles, strike craft, and space mines. Beyond this, of course, was the political and social statements coming with the men and women that make up this fleet; he made it a point to bring in as many Chiss as he could physically get his hands on, to give his species that military embodiment of vengeance.
And thus, when they were unveiled to the public eye, they were almost immediately dubbed across the Holonet as "Csilla's Avengers" following a long, heartful and passionate speech given by Tagashon, declaring that they would act as the bulwark and vengeful fist of all that was lost at the Brotherhood of the Maw's hands.
- Intent: To provide a new, canonized CSG for the Galactic Alliance's use in combat against various threats as well as patrol the Brotherhood-GA border regions.

- Classification: Carrier Strike Group
- Affiliation: Galactic Alliance Defense Force Navy

- Description: A fleet of warships centered around the ANV 'Ultimatum,' a massive Alliance-class star defender operating as a fleet carrier, with a focus on heavy missile and strike/support craft usage.
- Headquarters: This CSG is headquartered at Foerost.
- Ports of Call: The 1st CSG often patrols around the systems of Jakku, Jedha, Galantos, Thrantin, and Zardossa Stix at or near the galactic northwestern border of the Galactic Alliance.
- Goals: To safeguard the galactic northwestern border against incursions from the Brotherhood and to give Chiss refugees in Alliance space a rallying point for justice - or revenge.
- Reputation: The fleet is no secret at all, and many shall likely know of it as the embodiment of a single statement: "the Chiss shall not go gently into that dark night." Though, some may, perhaps, express worry (or joy) at the commanding Admiral's open, blatant calls for violent reprisals against those that destroyed Csilla, often times bordering on open support for warcrimes. There is, of course, those rumors that are neither confirmed or denied; sailors, pilots, and marines of this fleet take no prisoners in combat against those of the Dark Side.
