SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Put the Fear of God in them: The Stone Lion is gigantic, towering over it's opponents. Just the weight of it's legs hitting the ground can cause registerable tremors.
  • Shield Generator: Can activate a shield generator that covers its entire body, as well as anything under it. While it does act as a drain for the power supply, not much is gonna get through it.
  • Center Control: Unlike other walkers, the 'cabin' of the Sphinx is located dead center of the hull, and thus relies on sensors throughout the hull to navigate. This allows the ship a better defensive position.
STRENGTHS
  • The Sound of Guns: The Stone Lion, designed off the back of the Sphinx, is designed to act as a massive, rear artillery platform. As such, it's armaments range from what would normally be the primary weapon of smaller walkers, to two twin barreled Thunderer batteries, both of which would normally act as the batteries arming a GADF Star Destroyer sized vessel.
  • Walking Bunker: The Stone Lion, inspired by walkers like it, was built with a massive set of armor. Any attempts to break through it would be met with days worth of work.
  • Ion Smite: The primary weapon of the Stone Lion is the Experimental "Divine Light", a superheavy Ion Cannon imbued with the power of Force Light, making it capable of not only disabling power to entire city blocks, but also capable of purging said city blocks of any Dark Siders. The cannon's activation also creates a passive glow that emboldens soldiers in the vicinity.
  • 360 View: To combat the typical weakness of such a vehicle, Si tech designed the Stone Lion with a mass array of sensors that allow the driver and gunners to see pretty much in every direction from the central control hub.
  • Crush, rather than go around: The size of the Stone Lion allows for a unique approach to obstacles. Should something get in it's way, whether it be a building, a tank, or even terrain features, the Sphinx crew can simply step on, and crush whatever is in their way.
  • 3 Legs, No Problem: Taking the mistakes of the past into account, the Stone Lion was designed so that it's weight was evenly distributed throughout the vehicle, allowing for the loss of a single leg to be simply walked off.
WEAKNESSES
  • 2 Legs, That's a Problem: Despite the weight distribution, no matter what, it wouldn't get rid of the inherent flaw of a walker. You knock out the legs, the giant falls.
  • Which Way is Forward?: The choice to move the cabin to the center of the hull, and thus rely on purely sensors to see, does leave the Sphinx open for exploiting it's lack of direct line of sight.
  • Broadside: Unlike the Sphinx, the Stone Lion is not designed for forward assaults. As such, it's two sides are comparatively undefended by it's myriad of armaments. While it's armor is still impressively thick, repeated attacks towards it's sides will fell the beast.
  • Indiscriminate Damage: The many weapons of the Stone Lion are indiscriminate in who they hit. While they can be carefully aimed, they won't protect friendlies who wander into the splash zone.
DESCRIPTION
War. War Always Changes.

With the war with the Sith becoming the primary focus on the GA, Jonyna Si prioritized a new line of weapons designed to combat the horrors of the Sith. The Sphinx, while a perfect weapon against the GA's Imperial opponents, lacked in dealing with Dark Side tactics. Thus, the Stone Lion was designed.

Built around the new experimental "Divine Light" Ion Cannon, the walker is designed as a rear artillery platform, designed to shower the sith positions in heavy artillery, before bathing them in the Light of the Force.
