- Stunning: The glove's electric field can be directed across the knuckles or inside the hand to stun an attacker on contact.
- Steadying: Counter-current bursts of micro energy steady the nerves of a shaky hand.
- Smashing: The focused energy can easily subdue an attacker or send them realling.
- Inconspicuous: Until activated they appear like normal, if slightly padded dress gloves.
- Insulated: As the gloves channel quite a bit of energy, they naturally protect the wearer's hands from the same energy.
- Hand-To-Hand: Against ranged and most melee weapons, the wearer is at a distinct disadvantage if not taken by surprise.
- Untrained: While helpful, an untrained individual won't suddenly become a master fighter.
Continuing in the new line of self-defense products, the Basilisks were intended to be simple power gloves, but during research Chi discovered that some models already had shock features. From there it wasn't much more difficult to also have some of that energy counter overactive nerves in a high-stress situation. The new split focus weakened the striking strength of the dress gloves so the wearer wont casually break their attacker's bones or send them flying, but have the ability to grip or knock someone back to enable a good stunning strike. Every glove is custom made to a scan of the wearer's hand to ensure the perfect fit every time.
