The Galactic Builders' Union is an industrial concern with a steep history in Galidraan's trade union movement, originally a privately traded limited liability company started between friends in the aftermath of the Gulag plague. It has cultivated a history local to Galidraan for producing some of the most rugged and reliable military equipment available on the market for its' myriad of warring clans, houses and noble families. The Galactic Builders' Union has also stood staunchly in support of the working class, in its' modern incarnation there is a requirement for all employees to join the company's sanctioned union where they may have representation to the Directors of the company. In many ways, the Galactic Builders Union as befitting its' name is more of a Trade Union itself than a privately held company. It cannot compete in quantity compared to the likes of the Trade Federation itself or the Intergalactic Banking Clan, but the Galactic Builders Union can produce quality products with ethical conditions for their workers.
RATIONALE:
The Galactic Builders' Union is a merger of a previously existing Galidraani Engineering Company and Apex Manufacturing. In the wake of the collapse of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Galactic Builders' Union approached Apex Manufacturing's board with a proposal where the former would purchase the latter, as its' shares plummeted in the wake of the instability caused by the Confederacy's collapse. The Galactic Builders' Union purchased Apex and its' constituent subsidiaries, The Galactic Builders' Union has its' roots in the Galidraani Labour Movement and it is currently directed by Berach Ulrand, a renowned Galidraani Athlete and officer in the New Imperial Order's Stormtrooper Corps Reserve who has a reputation in the working-class bare-knuckle boxing scene. The Galactic Builders' Union is what is known in Galidraani circles as a "Union Shop" Given its' origins there is a requirement that all new employees of the company join the company's nominated union in the interest of guaranteeing their employees rights and representation to the company's leadership.
