DESCRIPTION

The Galactic Co-Investment Panel (GCIP) is an interstellar organization established to facilitate, regulate, and promote economic investments across diverse planetary systems within the galaxy. This institution is particularly crucial in the current Chaos Era of 900 ABY, which is a complex political landscape, where various factions, species and corporations vie for power and resources.

The GCIP aims to encourage collaboration and shared growth, navigating the tumultous waters of intergalactic finance while helping to stablizie economies ravaged by war and conflict.

The Trade Federation of Planets operates secretively within the organization, utilizing the panel to expand their influence throughout the galaxy and ensnare planetary governments in debt after their homeworlds have been devastated by war. It is often said that those who wield power over commerce and capital hold dominion over the entire galaxy.

RATIONALE

The establishment of the Galactic Co-Investment Panel initially aimed to circumvent Galactic Alliance regulations that prohibited the Trade Federation from participating in trade and commerce with the Sith Order and the Dark Empire. Engrossed in overseeing the InterGalactic Technology Union, Rulonom Laborr focused on gaining political influence, serving as the Senator of Skako and later as the Commanding Viceroy of the Trade Federation following the mysterious disappearance and reappearance of Director Gat Tambor.

Laborr embarked on a journey to establish his own legacy, distinct from the shadow of the Trade Federation's Founder. Unlike Tambor's visionary approach, Laborr's strategy prioritized the accumulation of wealth through strategic investments.

By integrating the Federation into the galactic economy through shipping and banking, Laborr aimed to solidify his position as a key player in the financial realm.

Laborr, unsatisfied with the Federation's current level of influence, decided to establish the G.C.I.P in order to further enhance his own power and authority. Through strategic investments and prudent decision-making, he managed to infiltrate key factory planets without directly associating himself with the Federation.
