Galactic Systems Senate Summit meeting

This was the world that her Aunt had been negotiating with trying to get them to understand that they offered the ideal circumstances to hold summits such as this.

The issue was that it was unknown whether others would acknowledge the neutrality of Alpha Mae. The hospital was already refurbished, and taking in patients.

The Refugee Center was filling up with people who had been displaced.

And now Faith was going to try to have as many representatives as possible meet and discuss the status of the galaxy. The building flew the flags many flags of those who had already joined the Systems Senate, she hoped that there would be more by the end of the week. She walked along looking up each time sometimes it was just a beautiful building.

She wondered how many would come, would any come,?

and anyone else who plays a Senator or wants to play a senator

After some of the scheming she had observed since her brief tenure as Senator, Suravi was more than willing to attend the gathering, hoping this forum would finally provide transparency in dealing with intergalactic issues. At the moment, her main concern was repairing relations between the Mandalorians and the Galactic Republic before the Sith exploited the tense situation.

She saw something on the docket about supporting Alpha Mae as a neutral site for diplomacy and humanitarian aid. She would support the measure, seeing some political and commercial opportunities here for Kiribi.

Vaudin, as usual these days, was in the new Senate offices handling the duties of Minister of State. He didn't know exactly when he started caring so much about government but it had happened and he wanted to see that people, all people, had proper representation. He had spent years as a pirate, an operative, a rebel, and a senator; he was as blunt as a hammer with a tendency to drink and carouse but he cared about doing the right thing for the right reasons, so here he was.

He put on simple robes, in the fashion of Iktotch elders, and left his corner office while a humanoid secretary droid followed close behind. He still wore his blasters, but as always they would be left with the guards in a lock box at the door.

The Galactic Senate had a lot of work ahead of them, hundreds of systems were in need of some kind of aid or other and each felt their needs to be most important. He knew this may not fix everything in the galaxy, in fact he knew it wouldn't but it was a step in a direction and he hoped it was the right one.

Rel Connory, retired Senator of Eshan (three-term!) and inventor of the Lightbringer Sensor Node, had provided that technology many years ago for installation in the Republic's Senate chamber. The three-dimensional array of Lightbringers, linked together, had allowed real-time detection and analysis of Force-sensitives and Force use in and around the chamber. It had saved the Republic Senate more than once. But that was years ago, and that Senate chamber had been lost to the One Sith.

This was a different Senate project, one unbeholden to the Republic, and one that Rel felt he could endorse. The inventor and business magnate sent an offer of donation to the Galactic Systems Senate procurement office. At no charge, he would happily see to it that a Lightbringer array was installed. It would detect Force-sensitives and Force use, locate it, and pinpoint its Light- or Dark-side allegiance. It would help ensure transparency and help keep the Senators safe from potential exploitation and infiltration.

Khyros stepped through the doors of the senate building and looked around. Alpha Mae was a beautiful planet, the senate building was a beautiful building, but it wasn't his Republic. That fact made him apprehensive, though he didn't show it, as if it were being dishonest, with him being here. He knew he had come here as more than a representative of the world of Arkania, but as a representative of the Galactic Republic. He had decided that Arkania and the Republic were going to be linked. The Republic needed people to stand with it. It was weak, but it had gone and come back many times over the millennia. It needed people to believe in its core message, to help steer it away from the places former leaders had drove it into rather than leap from it.

So Khyros stepped into another Senate, devoted to his Republic and to see it shine.

Senator Taff wasn't able to make it to the rally. He had prior arrangements before the call was given, and Taff was going to give a speech on behalf of the Republic to his restless people. The situation had eased greatly on Caamas. The protests had stopped, and everything seemed as if it was going back to it's peaceful self. Auru did not want to take any chances, however.

Instead of going in person, the Caamasi had sent Alic, his faithful advisor and loving Godfather with a holoprojector. The older Caamasi arrived on Alpha Mae, and immediately walked into the Senate building, and began setting up the holoprojector. With a fizz, the Senator popped into reality, static buzzing along his lithe furry frame. "Thank you, Alic. I suppose we wait now?

"Yes sir." Alic bowed respectfully. Senator Taff bowed back, and observed the people filing in. He was excited for the talks that would hopefully occur here. This was a good idea, letting all bodies of government speak their minds. This was one stone on the paved road to peace.

Faith walked into the room this grand meeting hall where everyone from across the galaxy would be able to meet and discuss all that affected their home worlds, their systems anything. This was the what Faith had dreamed of once, not just a place where people of like minds met and debated political standing but matters that would touch a hundred worlds.

Here where a 100 or more worlds could say their piece and not to chastise for it.

She wondered who would send a representative, who would loosen their grip long enough to allow talks. On this stage Alderaan, Aldera, and Alpha Mae all would say they were neutral. that the borders of Alpha Mae were open to receive patients, refugees, and representatives to the Systems Senate.

Faith smiled, where was the place they had put Alderaan.

Well.. how would this turn out?

Truth be told, there was a measure of wariness to the entire venture, but Danger Arcenaeu wasn't one to turn up her nose on a venue that could turn out for the better. If anything, this would ensure that the corporate interests were still presented and had a voice.

With her silver streaked hair falling in a side part, the full hipped woman slowly ascended towards her assigned seat. The clipping sound of her red sole designer shoes were a scarlet flash with every step she took.

Hmm.

Now where to start?
