[Galaxy] The Republic Left Behind

The Republic government had moved to Onderon - along with many Jedi. Iziz was at its busiest since thousands of years ago. Dxun loomed above in the sky. It was not yet close enough to allow for swarms of beasts to fly over.

The morning light of Prael graced Iziz. Sabena's eyes slowly opened. She was within her quarters at the Jedi Temple of Onderon. She had one roommate. After several groggy minutes, Sabena rose from her bed. She looked over to the bed on the other side of the room. Sabena's roommate was gone, yet the bed remained disturbed. Usually, the plucky female Togruta of a roommate would fix up her own bed before leaving.

Without any pressing issues for the day, Sabena slowly got dressed and ready. Eventually, Sabena departed from her quarters. In the hallway, she saw no one else around her. The Jedi Temple seemed to be quiet.

Chaos had already overtaken Onderon. Those that were awake witnessed the flames that took so many beings. Everything seemed to be in disarray. The Republic left behind had to quickly recover.

Thalia watched as scenes of horror, unable to understand what was happening and then her own hands began to fade. She began running, her eyes staring around, her voice shouting for help as from inside the palace of Iziz she faded like everyone else, gone before the eyes of others.

Heavy footsteps echoed on the other side of the temple. Things were falling apart and Sopher couldn’t figure out why. When he had woken up from his sleep, the nightmare he had been envisioning was coming to life. He barely was able to get out of his room, it seemed whatever was happening had caused some of the temple to collapse against his door. He had finally started to trust the Force around him, he focused everything into his body to help him shove the door along with the debris to fall over or so he thought. After he had burst through the door he realized that it wasn’t the building falling apart, it was just a stack of old data pads that had mysteriously fallen in front of his room.

This had caused alarm and he thought of only one person. Making his way down the hallways he climbed over things that were just left as if the people there just disappeared. Continuing, he turned the corner and saw her blonde head in the distance. Stopping, he wondered if she was even there - this whole thing was like a dream or a nightmare.

“Sabena!”
