Waiting in the sky
Mon Calamari MC220 Bel Iblis-class cruiser
The Gale of Laekia is the commandship of the Levantine Patrol Groups. Flanked by a quadrant of MC80-equivilent Mon Calamari cruisers and being called around the Sanctum space to provide aid and assistance where needed, the Gale tends to become a mobile home-away-from-home for the so-called heroes of the Sanctum.
Housing three native squadrons, two of Cutlass interceptors known as Spear and Strike, and a third of Terminus-class starfighters known as Stinger, and a handful of mixed support craft ranging from Winter Eagle Patrol Crafts, Niathal Shuttles, and various light freighters, the majority of the Gale’s hangar space is made up for a rotating guest list of pilots and operations crews.
Levantine Space is more rural than ever, with many of the patrols favoring one or more of the locally-based sector patrol ships, but many of the leadership of patrol cells, Force user organizations, or visiting guests to the region, find bunk and room aboard the Gale.
Focusing and favoring the Levantine Sanctum approach of freedom, the Gale doesn’t run like a military vessel once aboard. Having always been designed to help settle disputes and disable opponents, rather than create full scale engagements, the interior of the vessel is more reminiscent of a mobile down-town, with numerous floors dedicated to storefronts, vessel repair stations, and eateries from the Sanctum and abroad.
