SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sensor Suite: The Puma is equipped with the latest suite of vehicle sensors that Si Tech and the GA could afford.
  • Siege Mode: The Puma has the ability to cut power to it's repuslorlift, and transfer that to it's shields, allowing it to tank heavy shots if it needs to in a pinch.
  • Rising!: Being a Repuslorlift Tank, the Ocelot can in fact rise above the ground quite a ways. This allows it to circumvent small hills or even use the terrain to it's advantage, poking above hills to get just that right shot.
  • Ocelot, Speaking: Much like other GADF hardware, the Puma has an encrypted long range and short range comms device.
STRENGTHS
  • Modular!: The Ocelot was designed as a smaller alternative to the Screaming Falcon. Based on the AAC-1 of the Rebel Era, the Ocelot is designed with a modular rear turret, on which many different heavy artillery armaments can be mounted. These can either be used for forward bombardment, or direct fire if need be.
  • Twin Guns: For it's own protection, the Ocelot is designed with two forward ball turrets, in which gunners sit with heavy chain lasers, ready to defend the vehicle against forward assaults.
  • Eye in the Sky: Within the cabin, a deployable set of recon droids can be launched from a mortar that allows the drone operator within the cabin to coordinate with the artillery officer through an internal comms device. This allows for accurate, sometimes entirely autonomous recon and forward observing.
  • Nimble Cat: The Ocelot is designed for quick, nimble repositioning after firing. The goal was to allow the vehicle to keep up with the rapid advancing mechanized armies of the GA, but the end result was a vehicle that can often dodge incoming artillery fire by it's lonesome.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not a Tank: The Ocelot is not designed for front line combat. While it's turret does allow for it to direct fire targets if need be, it's lack of heavy shielding or armor means that any significant attacker will disable or even destroy the Ocelot with relative ease.
  • Modular, not Self Sufficent: The turret of the Ocelot is only designed to handle a single heavy armament at a time. This does mean that if you want to swap out armaments, that will be impossible without a trip back to the FOB, and a disengagement from combat.
DESCRIPTION
With the war between the GA, the DE, and the SO heating up, the minds at Si Tech wanted to find a new avenue for heavy bombardment that would be cost effective, but also would allow more accurate, precision artillery strikes. Thus, drawing from the past as they do, Si Tech devised a vehicle platform based on the Rebel Alliance's AAC-1, the Ocelot was designed as a modular platform for whatever the GA might need.

Built off a repulsorlift platform, the Ocelot has two forward ball turrets that act as both it's defensive anchor, but also a stabilizing agent for the vehicle, allowing it to keep steady in all gravities. It's key feature though it's modular turret, a large ring that allows several heavy armaments to be attached, allowing for a quick, nimble artillery platform that can be armed for the situation. Whether that be heavy AA for larger guns, a moble artillery platform, or a run and gun direct fire platform.
