In Brief: Known as much for his near-total pessimism as his uncanny ability to stretch Resistance resources past the breaking point, the affectionately-nicknamed "Gloomy Vynte" has taken on the vital but unglamorous work of keeping Rebel cells across the galaxy supplied. Formerly a secondary school History teacher on the rural backwater of Oorn Tchis, he is far more erudite than the bumpkin most people expect when they hear where he's from; he studied Economics and Poltical Theory at the Baobab Merchant Marine Academy on Manda, and graduated with honors.
Ganio joined the Resistance after his homeworld was annexed by the Sith Empire, shocked and dismayed at how little fuss his neighbors had put up. There was no war on Oorn Tchis, but he vividly remembered watching the holovids of Thyferra in flames, and he wanted no part in helping the regime that had executed that devastating strike. After trying to organize a local effort to sabotage the mines and keep their precious ores, which were used in missile guidance systems, out of Sith hands, he was forced to flee the planet when his own countrymen betrayed him to the Empire.
Ganio fell in with a rebel cell shortly thereafter. He doesn't have much faith in people, or even in the Resistance's chances of winning, but he's karking good at what he does.
