Garqi Dom?

I know the map isn't updated yet and that the Mandos are currently dom'ing Mygeeto next door, but [member="Caius Flavian"] mentioned a possible dominion to bring Garqi within the Republic cloud.

Garqi has a small population but is historically linked to agriculture, and caf. It's got purple trees, a world class botanical gardens and a prominent university and very peaceful body of citizens.

Rather than make it a military minded dominion, perhaps I could host a delegation of Republic officials to discuss trade, tour the capital and see the advancements the people have made in foodstuffs and xenobotanials? Perhaps look at where we can best reinforce with a small garrison?

Negotiate the trade of food to the Republic for relief efforts on war torn planets?

Nice idea [member="Gaisa Theron"] Kay isn't a Republic official or anything, but she does help out every now and again for free. I can easily see her visiting Garqi.
