The Barash Vow was not something to be taken lightly.
Cedric narrowed his eyes as another stream of dust poured in down from the tops of the canyon. Iridonia's notoriously barren climate had seen to it that the majority of the world was beholden to such dust storms. They weren't particularly deadly, especially down here in the canyon where their effects were dramatically reduced, but they were certainly annoying. The Jedi pawed at his face as more of it scratched at his eyes.
Deciding he'd had enough of the affair, Cedric unclipped his helmet from his belt and donned it, drawing his cowl up over it to further protect himself from the elements. He traveled alone alongside a shallow river that had once carved this canyon through the earth, but had long since waned. Warm afternoon night colored the dust clouds in vibrant shades of red and orange that he might have found beautiful were they not so violently annoying.
This realm was untamed and wild with the Force, the perfect place to spend the next few months, or even the next few years in hermitage. The Barash Vow required such. He needed clarity now more than ever, the divine providence upon which he had walked being pulled out from under him without warning. Only the empyrean could give him the answers he needed.
The Jedi meandered along in silence, occasionally readjusting his backpack as he tried to find a cave or abandoned structure that might serve as shelter for the night. Anything was better than sleeping out in the open again.
