STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
(+) Ace Pilot: Gatz is an expert pilot, something exacerbated by both his natural talent, and hours of practice. Need to break a blockade? Gatz can make it possible, provided he’s flying an appropriate ship. When Gatz is in the pilot seat, he is at his best. This skill benefits from Gatz’s inherent Force Sensitivity, which heightens his ability to almost unnatural levels.
(+) Splicing: Because what kind of smuggler doesn’t know how to splice? Gatz picked this skill up from a Rodian on Nar Shaddaa, and it comes in handy when he needs to bypass government technology. Especially when it comes to getting through doors Gatz is supposed to be stopped by.
(+) Pistoleer: After leaving the Jedi Network, Gatz decided to further distance himself from the Order by adapting his fighting style: that is, learning to rely on a blaster, as opposed to a lightsaber. While he’s far from the best shot he knows, Gatz is more than proficient with his sidearm.
(+) Mechanics: Gatz has had to, on more than one occasion, patch up his ship. Though he’s never received any formal instruction, Gatz has gleamed enough information from manuals and the like to be able to complete quick repairs. Just don’t expect anything fancy.
(-) Moral: Gatz is simply good, no questions about it. Though he might make a living taking on less than legal jobs, Gatz has a moral code he follows without questions. A good smuggler will do his job, no questions asked, and with no trouble. Gatz often asks questions, and will outright refuse jobs, or refuse to complete a job he is already on, if he doesn’t agree with the terms. He owes more than a couple of credits to the wrong people, because of this.
(-) Stubborn: When Gatz makes a decision, that decision is final. Very rarely will someone actually manage to budge his stance on something, and such stubbornness has gotten him in trouble before. Seriously, who takes on six gang members with only a hydrospanner, just because he didn’t want to give up his seat on a public transport?

Gatz stands at six foot-one, with a head of short blonde hair, and a chiseled jaw. His eyes are as blue as the azure sky of Naboo, his homeworld, which contrasts funnily with his red leather jacket. Underneath his favorite jacket, is a simple white tunic with a high collar, that he pairs with grey cargo pants, and black boots.
BIOGRAPHY:
Gatz Duolingo was born on Naboo, to two doting parents. At a young age, The Jedi Academy Network sought out his parents, and it was discovered that Gatz was Force Sensitive. Despite being reluctant to part with their child, Gatz’s parents saw the opportunity in giving Gatz to the order, and so they did.
As a Youngling, Gatz was mischievous, and known for causing trouble. The instructors at the Academy often reprimanded him for being so childish, and even at such a young age, Gatz began to become disillusioned with the life that had been chosen for him. He was not fond of the strict and stark restrictions of the Order, and was even less pleased with their problem with attachments.
And so Gatz Duolingo left the order at the age of nine, returning to his home on Naboo. Though he had not learned much of the Force at the Academy, having never been chosen as a Jedi Padawan, Gatz did learn how to rely on it to aide his senses. As he continued to grow up on Naboo, the young Duolingo used these acute senses of his to further his budding career as a pilot.
Gatz scored his first job, as the pilot of a public transport. He worked that job for a year, until he was eighteen years old. He quit, intending to enlist with the Galactic Alliance as a starfighter pilot. However, tragedy struck when his father died as a result of a mugging. Now needing to stay behind to help support his mother, Gatz gave up on his dream of piloting a fighter for the Alliance, and instead took command of his father’s YTA-1300, using it to run odd jobs.
This was where his career as a smuggler started. Though transporting cargo was the honest way of doing things, Gatz didn’t feel that it made him enough credits. But smuggling items off of Nar Shaddaa? The pay was more than enough to make a living, while also providing for his mother back on Naboo.
And so, six years later, Gatz is still flying the YTA-1300, now dubbed “The Shooting Star,” as an experienced smuggler.

YTA-1300 Light Freighter, faded and a little beat up. The once red detailing on the paint job is faded and scratched. Patched power lines and the like hang from overhead inside of the ship.
