TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Mode Change: Building off the X-wings inherent design, Si Tech made further distinctions between the two modes of flight.
    • Straight Flight Mode: The LionX's standard mode for flight, it's focus is defense and handling. Power is allocated to the shields, with minimal weapon systems outside of it's Chainlaser and munition hardpoints. Meant for Landing, Close Air Support, and Basic Flight.
    • Attack Mode: With the wings deployed, the power is allocated to the weapons and engines, designed to allow pilots to dogfight with maximum efficiency. While it sacrifices portions of power to the shields, it makes up for it in making the fighter an acrobat in the sky. Meant for Dogfighting.
  • Ghost of Coruscant: The Full Spectrum Distortion Projector allows the LionX to jam sensors and targeting computers from locking onto it, making it much harder for enemy pilots to keep track of it, making the already incredibly maneuverable fighter a twirling ghost in the sky.
STRENGTHS
  • Fast as Fark: The LionX is designed off the back of X-wings of the past, originally built off a stock Saber-Class acquired from the NJO's requisitions officers. Further Modified by Jonyna's own engineers at Si Tech, the LionX is designed to go at blinding speeds, and be able to maneuver in ways that would rip apart a normal starfighter.
  • Pew Pew: While it's S-foils are open, the LionX lives up to it's name, capable of blasting any normal starfighter out of the sky with it's quad laser cannons, as well as it's nose mounted chain laser. The laser cannons are capable of being converted into several modes for whatever the situation calls for. On top of that, when the S-foils are closed, the LionX is still capable of firing it's single nose-mounted chainlaser, as well as dropping bombs from it's retractable hardpoints on the undercarriage.
  • Automatic Man: The LionX, between it's astromech, and it's twin droid brains, is designed to assist pilots in anything from target acquisition, bombing alignment, and even hyperdrive activation. Much like it's predecessors, the pilot's ability to communicate with it's droid systems is done through voice activation, though the advanced systems of the LionX is capable of even using brain impulses to understand what a pilot needs in a moment of stress.
WEAKNESSES
  • Parallax Error: like most X-wing designs, the LionX places its main laser cannons at the tip of all 4 of its wings. The distance between the pilot and each of the cannons is roughly 2.5 meters on the Y axis and 1.5 meters on the Z Axis, and around 15.24 cm on the X axis. This causes for some serious Parallax error if the cannons are not zeroed in, and because of the complexity and difficulty of maintenance a self-adjusting system would provide (especially for fighters meant to be flown away from full support), the cannons must be zeroed in at a static distance. While the composite beam lasers can fire at or beyond this range, they require the wings to be in their folded position to function.
  • S-Foils: An inherent flaw of the X-wing design, the S-foils can take a second or two to unfurl to switch to attack mode. While it does have armaments in it's default mode, they are not as well equipped for dogfighting.
  • Trade Off: While in it's default mode, it's shields are high powered, designed to stave off sneak attacks or ground fire. While in attack mode, the power of the shields are shifted to it's armaments and engines, making the LionX a glass cannon.
DESCRIPTION
Jonyna's love of X-wings goes back to the first Production models, The crew of the Tenacity being one of the first to acquire the original models. Since then, Jonyna has never taken to being much of a pilot, though her respect for those who do always was high. As such, Si Tech's further investment in the GADF, the LionX was developed. An all around fighter, designed to be mass produced, while still being a massive threat with it's incredibly high maneuverability, and firepower.

Designed to be an acrobat of the sky, the LionX is reinforced to be able to allow pilots to maneuver in normally impossible manners, and is armed with firepower that put it on level with the top end starfighters of the modern era.

Designed to serve both a fighter and light ground attack role, the LionX is the next generation of GADF mass-produced Starfigther.

I'm pulling this sub for a few reasons.

1) HIMS

Per the restricted materials page HIMS is specifically names as a restricted technology.

2) Nightshadow Coating

Nightshadow is an anti-sensor coating, and as such counts as a stealth technology and so will also fall foul of the restricted technology rules.

Per the above 2 elements, please either remove them or reduce the ships production to semi-unique.

Also, you have a significant number of defences, including molecular defences which are very much not standard, and as such are above an average rating.

Please look over these notes and then let me know when the changes have been made.

Removed those. Once again, copying from an older sub of mine stabs me in the back.

As for the shielding, as stated in the weaknesses, the intention was, while all the systems are the same across both modes, the power allocated to each system fluxuates across modes. Attack mode's shields are significantly weaker, at the bonus to engines and weapon systems, while in flight mode, the shields are boosted while most of your weapons are offline.

Thank you for those changes. I'm not gonna require any shifts on the defenses rating, though as it currently stands the two modes are unclear when reading the sub. Perhaps you could clarify that for potential readers and opponents?

Also, could you clarify if the Full-spectrum distortion projector is meant to create a ghosting effect, making it harder to lock-on but not hide it, or if it's meant to hide the fighter. If you could also clarify that as a strength.
