SPECIAL FEATURES
After the battles of Kaeshana and the skirmishes elsewhere, it was clear that Firemane needed a new and better main battle tank.
The design laid down went for repulsorlift technology as being superior in every way to the tracked and wheeled vehicles of the past. Named after a famous battle from Firemane’s past; the Gehenna, it was set to carry the war to the enemy.
Using a heavy laser cannon as its primary armament, it also employed the new Deathstrike missiles as a strong secondary armament. These 4 missiles were controlled by the second gunner, who also doubled as communications specialist. These missiles could either be used against enemy armour and positions, or as protection from air attack. A rotary blaster cannon for cutting down infantry was also added on the turret for the commander to use.
For defences, the tank features a deflector shield amongst other things. This shield cannot stand up to massive punishment, but acts as a good first layer of damage soaking. Beneath that heavy armour plating, countermeasures and reflective armour helps reduce enemy damage. The Gehenna is tough and can take quite a beating before being knocked out.
The Gehenna struggles like other vehicles in rough, broken or constricted terrain. It can however cross water, though not when there is a swell.
The Gehenna operates in squadrons of 10 with 3 squadrons composing a company. The Gehenna can operate in a variety of tactical situations, but it is most often used as an assault tank.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Contains a CD-X Encryption key for communications.
- Repulsors can lift the tank up to 5 metres off the ground.
- Deathstrike missiles can be used either for ground or air targets.
- Firepower. The Gehenna is heavily armed with blaster cannon and missiles for armoured threats and a rotary blaster cannon for lighter targets.
- Tough. With deflector shield, heavy armour and countermeasures, the Gehenna is a strong tank, able to take as well as deal out punishment.
- Amphibious. As it hovers over the surface, the Gehenna can cross over water, mud or any flat surface impassible to wheeled vehicles.
- Slow. The Gehenna had to cut down on its speed due to the increased weight. Its top speed is rarely used, and it generally moves into combat at about 2/3rds of this speed.
- Shield. The deflector shield, due to the size of the vehicle, is only really able to protect against a single strong attack such as from another tank or walker’s main gun. After that it must regenerate.
- Terrain. Like all repulsor or other vehicles, the Gehenna struggles in heavy or broken terrain. Forests, mountains or city strees limit its speed and access.
