SPECIAL FEATURES

• Akin to the Nantex-class Territorial Starfighter, the Geonosian Fire Control System, known as the Merdeth, is unique in that it uses an array of repulsorlift generators and tractor beam generators, in addition to a sensory data-computer, radar, and director to provide superior fire control support. Able to be sized up for anything from a small snubfighter or interceptor to a massive dreadnought, the Merdeth is unique in that not only does it offer improved and superior accuracy, but also able to literally guide bolts as well as kinetic ordnance both off-axis and lead targets, enabling the ability to propel energy bolts (and kinetic ordnance) with superior speed and even manually control it to hit a target. This gives it a level of superior fire control, in addition to accuracy and speed and superior control. In addition, the fire control system is modular - able to be swapped out easily for different species to take advantage of different senses by using a simulator-sensory mask, which means the weapon can be fired remotely too and not directly. The tractor beam projectors are placed on a swivel to allow for greater fine deftness, and use entire "banks" of small projectors to do this.

STRENGTHS

• Superior accuracy - enabling the ability for targets to be hit more consistently and constantly.
  
  
• Utilizes tractor beams and repulsorlift generators to guide bolts or kinetic ordnance, able to course-correct projectiles and essentially turned a missed shot into an accurate kill.
  
  
• Sensory mask and modular systems enable easy replacement, species-friendly configuration, and enable remote operation; this can even be used to slave gun batteries together to lay down more punishing fire.
  
  
• Has far more resistance against jamming/sensory disruption as well as ECM because of the ability to guide kinetic ordnance and energy bolts manually.

WEAKNESSES

• Modular components and materials are sourced only from Geonosis and the Stalgasin Hive.
  
  
• Destruction or disabling of the mask can render it inoperable.
  
  
• Does not fully stop jamming, sensor disruption, or ECW, if it's a strong enough ship particularly or solely made to do such. This does not apply to manual guidance, however.
  
  
• Sensory mask requires sourcing specifically from Geonosis.

DESCRIPTION

The Geonosian Fire-Control System known as the Merdeth was designed and based off the inspiration source of the Nantex-class Territorial Starfighter's own design with its repulsorlift generators and tractor beam generators. Designed specifically to provide superior fire accuracy and on-target precision, it eventually led to an evolution and refinement of the ability to guide the bolt or ordnance in question to hit targets, making it superb not only in dogfighting, but also even for larger ships. It's only sourced from Geonosis and currently beginning mass production, but Archduk Ukvax hopes that this will develop interest in supporting the Stalgasin Hive and Geonosian Industries' ventures...
