DESCRIPTION
Designed as the SLAW-Armor, the Geonosian Industries "Hydra" Specialized Layered Armor Wall Armour is unique in that it serves as a form of defensive hull for vehicles and starships, combined with the Hydra SLAW-Alloy and the Greedle Cooling Subsystem to make it useful for defensive practicality. It is unique in that it creates a special form of layered defensive measures stretched over a conventional hull, giving both boons and banes to its utilization.

SPECIAL FEATURES

STRENGTHS

• Resistance to ion and energy weapons is high due to its own construction of the layered-alloy system, as well as its materials and reinforcement, same with the additional mentions of the subsystem and alloy, which can resist thermal attacks for some time.
  
  
• Kinetic and sonic weapons find it more difficult to pierce due to the spongy and flexible nature of the alloy in question.
  
  
• Able to be recolored by mixing different metals or metalloids into the armor, thus allowing for supreme aesthetic appeal.
  
  
• Light weight means it enables starships and vehicles to go significantly faster, especially on planetary worlds or in planetary atmospheres.
  
  
• Can be utilized in powersuits as well.

WEAKNESSES

• Can be damaged over time by staggered barrages, particular of kinetic ordnance, which reduces effectiveness of the armour ultimately once the first layer is breached, and then can gradually erode it from there.
  
  
• Corrosive/acid weaponry can eat through the armor decently quickly depending on the volume used. Cryogenic weaponry can also eventually cool and fracture the armor over time.
  
  
• More expensive than traditional armors, when combined with the cooling subsystem and alloy, this especially makes it slightly hard to use for significantly large capital ships such as battlecruisers and dreadnoughts.
  
  
• Cannot be used for personal armor.
  
  
• Only known by Geonosian Industries and Stalgasin Hive on how to create it.
  
  
• Takes longer to construct and limits modular components to just the armor plating.
